Stayed here for a few days at the beginning of July for business.

Hotel has an older antique aura to it, especially in the main lobby. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

It was in a pretty good location within a short walk to restaurants, casinos, and Truckee river.

The room, while having older furniture, was very spacious. The floor to ceiling windows that angled our in the middle provided a beautiful view of the mountains and Nevada landscape.

Over all this is a decent place to stay for a good price.

We spent a week in Reno at the Plaza. It is a great deal through RCI. The pool is indoor and very clean, there is also an enclosed hot top out on the roof with some views of the area. We had a room with a queen and pull out bed for the kids. There is a large (for a hotel) table w/4 chairs, microwave, fridge and toaster and lots of cabinets to store groceries. The hotel also will supply dishes on request (for free if you clean them). The room is not new, but clean and comfortable and large. There are great views of the city or the mountains. The only bad thing is the valet parking. They charge $5 a day, plus tip. We gave a $1 tip each time we picked up the car. The hotel is downtown, but off the casino strip. There is lots of shopping and museums within walking distance.

Have not even completed our week, very disappointed. Expected more in room ammenities, have a delux room not the regal room. I was told the room was a king. No way. The bed is the size of a california queen. It is not what I expected. Over all the place is very nice, clean, very nice staff. Would have like to been told it cost five dollars a day to park. It gets costly to tip if you take your car out a few times during the day. Not what I expected for a time share exchange. Our view is if the cooling heating system. I do not see a return in our future. When I get home there will be a phone call to rci. The bed situation has ruined my vacation. We refuse to sleep on the pull out, if we wanted to spend a week on a pull out we could have slept in our living room. Should have stayed home in a real king size bed.

The service here was fantastic. People were friendly and yet gave you your space. They have a very nice heated pool and jacuzzi and all the facilities were well maintained even if the decor was dated. The rooms were nothing exciting but the bathroom was very clean and nicely maintained.

Great location right on the the river and central to many places to eat. If you must be in Reno this is a nice choice and a good value.
