The Plaza is one of the oddest hotels we've ever stayed in. We booked a week through our timeshare. The lobby is dark and full of antique furniture. The spacious rooms are stuck in the 80s. I could not believe that we were to prepare some of our meals for a week in a "kitchenette" with no sink. We only had a small cabinet (no counter space) with a dorm room sized refrigerator, a microwave oven, and a toaster. We asked for a dish pack in order to be able to prepare a few meals in our room but really, with no sink, how is this to be accomplished in a sanitary manner. Our room had no DVD player, only a VHS player, (did I say something about a time warp) so we had to check out VHS tapes from their behind-the-counter-collection. One of the best things about this hotel is its proximity to the River Walk area of the Truckee River in downtown Reno. Also, the spacious indoor pool was very nice and hardly ever used by other guests. There was complimentary coffee on one floor and wrapped pastries 6 floors below each morning as an amenity. The hotel also had a small laundry room located in the parking garage for guests. The hotel was just a little bit too quirky and outdated for my taste.

Stayed there on our way to SF. Very clean, Nice antique furniture. Quiet, but just a block from all downtown locations. Pool and hot tub with spectacular views over the "smallest city in the world".

Quite a quirky place - not quite in the 21st Century!! Furniture & decs very outdated & a bit grubby. Comfortable bed - but i had to buy my own pillow because theirs were so fat & hard!. We booked well in advance - but were told rooms were allocated on arrival & as we were quite late - we had a room overlooking a concrete parking lot for 5 days. We asked to move - every day - but nothing came up - even though the hotel was not full. We were obliged to use valet parking - even though the hotel car park was shared with the public. Felt like a "tip" making racket. The room was large & spacious - with a toaster, good microwave, coffee maker & fridge. There was a dressing room as well as a bathroom - plenty of light & storage space. Ice machines in the corridor. We had to ask for a kitchen pack!! Plates etc - but that also was well equipped. courteous staff.

Located in downtown Reno about 2 blocks from the casino main strip. Right next to Truckee river and movies. Only Valet parking and no room service.
Room had microwave and mini refrigerator. Club room had coffee, cocao and tea available 24hr.
Best part was WiFi in room and 24hr computer and printer in lobby
Nice indoor pool and Jacuzz but the gym was not that well equipped. Game room with pool table and we could borrow books and board games.
We paid about $200 for a weeks stay through RCI.
We stayed on the 18th floor but our room was next to elevator so there was some noise.
