“Excellent birthday outing for kids!”

Had a great birthday outing at the hotel for our 4 year old. Although we had multiple rooms and various requests, the check-in was quick and the staff was very accommodating. Very kid-friendly hotel and pool. The manager (Joe) runs a great hotel!

Room Tip: The pool area was extremely HOT (July).

“Spiders & Cold & Alarms, oh my!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2011

As far as value, when I stayed there is was $50 for the bordello room & I think $130 for the space suit. Both rooms had a jacuzzi which was cool & we were given a free bottle of whine. The service was good as far as them being very nice. The room seemed clean, but this wasn't very recent either.
Ok, we stayed in the bordello room, and while laying in bed a giant black widow dropped down ontop of me from the vines.
The hater didn't work so we ran the jacuzzi on high all night for some warmth. When we woke up in the morning the mirrors were dripping with condensation and the bed was also wet from it, but it was the only way to stay warm.
In the morning, around 5am, the fire alarm in our room went off and we couldn't get it turned off. We had to vacate the room so they could fix it. The bathroom in this room was kinda grungy, like a low rent drug apartment.
Overall, the room was cheap and the decoration was pretty cool & so was having th jacuzzi in room, but the spider & cold sucked.
The second night we stayed in the big space suit. The giant jacuzzi is cool, but I shomehow screwed up the big shower so I had to bathe in the jacuzzi. I called the front desk, but there was no one to come fix it and we also had issues with the stereo. They also couldn't help us with that, but we did figure it out eventually.
In both rooms, the mattres was very thin and either on the floor )space room) or on a plywood board (bordello).
We did get our deposit back, but we were hardly in either room.

“Horrible Hotel! Avoid like the plague!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2009

My wife booked us a room here for our wedding anniversary and I can say without hesitation, we will never be back. Upon arrival we found out the person who took the reservation screwed up and they didn't have a room for us. Naturally that person was not around. After waisting some time with the front desk person, we asked to speak to a manager. Intially we were told there was no manager there. Eventually someone came out who claimed to be the manager. Again we were told they had no rooms. To make a long story short, we waisted over an hour dealing with the various people at the front desk before they ended up bumping someone elses reservation and giving us their room.

On to the room...
The bed was hard as a rock and I'm not sure the sheets had actually been washed. The didn't actually look dirty but they sure didn't smell clean. You could tell for sure the comforter hadn't been cleaned in a while...nasty! Found some cigarette butts around the room..house keeping is not a priority at this place. The air didn't work at all and it does get warm in Reno in the summer. In all honesty, their "theme" rooms are nothing special. We're talking a standard small hotel room with a few plastic vines and funky wall painting. Not worth the prices they charge.

Given the prices of this place, I couldn't recommend this place to anyone. For what they charge, the rooms should be spotless and they should actually have your reserved room ready when you arrive.
