The staff at the front desk and at the restaurant/bar were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a free van available to take guests within two miles of the hotel 24 hours. My only complaint is that over two days I asked to have a broken lamp in my room fixed. No one came to fix or replace it.

This hotel was beautiful, with a massive entry and ample parking. The hotel and rooms were very clean, and we did not detect any odors from smoking, which is often a problem when visiting Reno. Shampoo and toothpaste samples were available at the front desk. I couldn't find my toothbrush and they were happy to provide one. There's a restaurant on site, where we had a very good breakfast and my son had a great appetizer platter. The restaurant has a nice menu and a full bar, which serves a limited menu when the restaurant is closed. Staff was very courteous @ responsive at both the restaurant and the hotel. There were also Bell and Shuttle services offered for free during our stay. The rooms were reasonable in price, as was the restaurant, especially their specials. We've stayed here on separate occasions, and have been pleased each time.

As a BW Rewards member, I used my points to stay 1 night free over NYE. When I checked in, the desk agent didn't have me sign anything and I left a cash deposit on the room. Upon check out, Kayla (front desk agent) was extremely rude and unprofessional. She tried to charge me for my room even though I had booked in advance a free night using my points. Then she tried to keep my cash deposit. This hotel needs to study how to give good customer service. I won't be going back anytime soon to this place.

Best Westerns are usually reliable but this one was poor, the room was oddly shaped with no microwave oven or fridge. Worse there was obviously supposed to be a fridge and despite this being a room they used for guests with pets the wiring and sockets in the fridge enclosure had been left dangling. We called and asked for a microwave and fridge, they delivered the microwave promptly but no fridge was available. The room was a bit run down and a long way from the lobby or an ice machine, they apparently bunch the dog owners in one corner of the building, which while it has a certain logic to it, does tend to result in canine conversations between rooms. We had to leave early and then discovered that there were coffee supplies but no coffee maker! This is an unforgivable sin for me, the checkout clerk said they could have supplied one quickly but there was no time. Overall very sloppy inventory maintenance in the room and judging by the complaints heard during check out we were not the only people who felt that way.
