We had to travel at the last minute and The Eldorado had good rates and was convenient access from I-80. Room was clean and neat. Only slight complaint is the pervasive slight odor of smoke that lingers in the common areas of the hotel/casino. That is just Reno, the room did not have any smell of smoke.

Overall the Eldorado is a great place to stop when traveling through Reno. Rates midweek are good and the many options for eating are very nice.

I went for a brunch. The food has varieties, but pricey (~15?). The service is good.

Not only do I feel safe in this hotel by the obvious sight of security guards, but every one of the staff during my stay were great. Every one of them. I had a change of plans due to Seattle snowstorm and spent 2 more nights in Reno than planned. They honored my room rate and helped me stay in touch with the airline and airport. I wish I'd written down names as they are great!! They made my situation an enjoyable part of my visit. The room was basic with a great view. I asked for free upgrades and was put in the tower on the 20th floor overlooking the city and valley. You aren't in Reno to stay in a room and the room was more than fine for my 3 night stay. This is my second time staying at the El Dorado and it is now my preferred casino hotel when I travel there.

We loved the room, food and service....The walk to Circus, Circus Hotel and Silver Legacy was very convenient...Silver Legacy was our favorite place to eat....Food is good in all three hotels. The staff were very helpful....I love the events they had...which was the Peter Pan Live Show. My kids thoroughly enjoyed watching that...I just think they need to put more comfortable mattresses though....Parking was easy to find and the entry from hotel to parking was very good...
