We choose to stay in this hotel since we've come to Las Vegas many times, and on our several trips en route to LA drove by the stateline seeing this barnshaped hotel with a rollercoaster built around it. We were curious what it was like. Honestly, this hotel is a rather strange combination of facts. Their hotel rooms have recently been updated with amazingly comfortable beds, which you'd expect in strip hotels like Wynn and the Mirage, however the rooms itself still have their old unupdated western theme, completely mismatching with the new furniture and beds. The combination of the furniture and the look of the room is very weird, but we really did get an excellent night sleep. The casino is rather dark, and the rollercoaster was out of order, although it was a weekend day. Part of the reason to stay was to take a ride on the rollercoaster, unfortunately that was not possible. Most of the restaurants were closed as well. The area around the hotel is quite desolate, and wouldn't make much of a stopover since Vegas is a 45 minute drive. However there is nice outlet center next to the hotel, if you plan on shopping.
I would give this hotel a 10+ for the beds and a 5 for the rest of it, although I really like the western theme, it's not that great maintained, and Vegas is too close to stop and sleep here.
