“Strange combination of facts”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We choose to stay in this hotel since we've come to Las Vegas many times, and on our several trips en route to LA drove by the stateline seeing this barnshaped hotel with a rollercoaster built around it. We were curious what it was like. Honestly, this hotel is a rather strange combination of facts. Their hotel rooms have recently been updated with amazingly comfortable beds, which you'd expect in strip hotels like Wynn and the Mirage, however the rooms itself still have their old unupdated western theme, completely mismatching with the new furniture and beds. The combination of the furniture and the look of the room is very weird, but we really did get an excellent night sleep. The casino is rather dark, and the rollercoaster was out of order, although it was a weekend day. Part of the reason to stay was to take a ride on the rollercoaster, unfortunately that was not possible. Most of the restaurants were closed as well. The area around the hotel is quite desolate, and wouldn't make much of a stopover since Vegas is a 45 minute drive. However there is nice outlet center next to the hotel, if you plan on shopping.
I would give this hotel a 10+ for the beds and a 5 for the rest of it, although I really like the western theme, it's not that great maintained, and Vegas is too close to stop and sleep here.

Room Tip: Ask for a remodeled room.

Dear Codici,

Thank you for posting your comments regarding your recent stay at Buffalo Bills. I was pleased to hear you enjoyed your overall stay. However, please accept my apologies for disappointment you experienced when you were unable to ride the roller coaster. Unfortunately there are times the rollercoaster is not in operation due to weather conditions or unscheduled maintenance. I regret your stay did not meet all your expectations. You are truly a valued guest of ours and we look forward to welcoming you back to Primm Valley Resorts in the near future.

Sincerely,
Kenji Hall

“You get what you pay for”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I've stayed here numerous times when I was younger and the one thing I remember was the pool was NEVER heated and for those who wonder its in the shape of a buffalo. I also had to stay there once because cajon pass was shut down and it was a horrible experience. We changed rooms 3 times, dirty, old, heaters not working when it was 20 degrees outside.

“Wonderful Place to Stay!”

I love Buffalo Bill's! The casino is very attractive, the people are pleasant and the rooms are decent. Although there isn't a coffeemaker in the room, the beds and pillows are ever so delightful.
I stay there most every time I go to Stateline (sometimes I can't get a room and have to stay at one of the other properties, but I do so love the decor!!)

“Surprisingly good customer service.”

We stopped at Buffalo Bill's and had a great time. Although, some of the eaterys were closed as were the rides, we enjoyed the gaming atmosphere. Check-in was easy as they put on more staff when they saw the line growing. Housekeeping was prompt when we needed extras from them. Good value for a great price. If you have a player's club card, the room discount only applies if you call in your reservation or if you don't have a reservation. On-line, there is no discount.

“Hotel is outdating”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

I stayed her for one night before going to Vegas strip. Must say was impressed by the rooms. I thought the rooms were going to be outdated. But they had comfy beds and nice spacious rooms. The TVs are still the old big boxed ones and you could hear the people on both sides of your room. The hotel does it's best to keep people coming. The old western style is in there and I saw Buffalo Bill which was nice to see. Also went to Wiskey Petes and saw the history of Mobsters from the 1940s era. Very interesting information. These 3 hotels Buffalo Bills, Primm valley, and Buffalo Bills are the few hotels that have been around for a long time. I was interested in seing how they were and was impressed. They are all outdated but you could see how they really want people to visit them.

Room Tip: Noise neighbors do not let you sleep
