If you are looking to just get away for a couple of days the Virgin River is not a bad place. The rooms are kept clean and the maid service comes early and gets things done. We usually request rooms in building 5 because it is closest to the bingo hall, but i have also stayed in building two and it was fine. There are a few things for the kids to do too. The bowling alley is fun and there is an arcade that the kids can earn lots of tickets for prices. Check in was quick and easy and the room was ready by the time promised. The breakfast at the Chuckwagon restaurant inside the casino is a good place for breakfast. Good food and cheap! We enjoyed the bingo hall very much and came home with a little money in our pockets. If you are a non smoker be prepared. Just like all casinos, it is very smokey!

My Wife and I frequently travel to the West Coast from the Midwest. One of our favorite places to stay on the route s the Virgin River Hotel and Casino. They have done a lot of remodeling of the rooms over the past couple of years and the property is beautiful!! If your not looking for the glitz and glimmer of Las Vegas, this place is for you!! The room rate on our last stay was 25.00 for the night and it included Breakfast as well!! The room was extremely nice! Two Queen Beds, refrigerator and microwave. We have paid a lot more for a lot less!! We stayed in Building two on the second floor overlooking the pool! (Very close to the Casino entrance!!) The beds were on the firm side whick I like. Our room was very spacious as well!! Mesquite seems to grow larger everytime we visit and I love it there!! Make sure you try the themed Buffet they have a different theme nightly and there is something for everybody!! My wife loves all of the palm trees on the grounds! It's hard to believe something so tropical in the middle of the dessert!! The Casino is very nice and was uncrowded while we were there! If you like Blackjack, they have two dollar tables which is almost unheard of anymore! When we travel cross county, Virgin River is always one of our favorite stops!! Try it our if you get a chance, you will not be dissapointed!

Went to Mesquite to play some golf. Arrrived at Virgin river casino, water pipes had broke were changed to there sister hotel down the street. A very average room but clean,but worth the price 24.99. Had to go to the casino across the street to eat which was Ok. Played the sun city mesquite golf course excellent course if you never played it, slope 121. Nobody was on the course in front of us and no one behind us. This course had some very interesting holes you would have to see the course to understand it. Like a double dog leg hole.

Just went through on a quick one night stop on the way to California from Canada. Booked about a week in advance, and got the advertised $24.99 rate. The room is very basic, but very clean. Water pressure somewhat iffy, could possibly even be the shower head itself. Beds comfortable, pillows are fine. Heat works well in the room.

Ate at the a la carte restaurant for dinner. I had the Asian Chicken Salad, great size portion for the $7, my older son had the $6 Prime Rib - HUGE portion, my younger son had the $7 burger, he said it was very good, and my husband went all out with the T-bone and shrimp combo for $12.

Breakfast next morning was also very good - $3 for 2 huge pancakes, 2 eggs, and a choice of bacon, sausage or ham. More than filled us up to start off the day.

We didn't use the pool facilities as they are outside, and it was just too cold to go for a swim.
It did look super clean, and would be a great place to sit during the day when its warm out.

All in all, a great place to stop for a night, and we will do it again as we travel that way quite often now. Be sure to book early as they do not have many rooms for the $24.99 promo if you know you'll be stopping there.
