“Disappointing Service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

We left the RV and spent two nights at the Harrah's in late January/early February. The room was quite adequate for the $25 we spent, although it was very sparse. It was clean and had a flat screen TV. There was only a desk and two side tables, but only 1 desk chair. (We always like a comfortable place to sit in our hotel rooms.)

I was very disappointed in the extra $11 charge for wifi. It was painfully slow and I was unable to send my email messages. The charge was for exactly 24 hours and I needed to spend a full hour on the phone with the service agent trying to get my email downloaded--to no avail. It not only took an hour of my vacation time, but an additional hour was NOT added to my time limit. When I complained at the desk, I got a rude comment from the person at the desk, indicating I wanted something for nothing. This is the reason for the low rating--if an hotel is charging for wifi, it better be speedy and worth it. Needed to make a trip to Starbucks to complete my computing.

I did enjoy the hominess of the gaming staff at Harrah's in Laughlin and would stay again. I just wouldn't use wifi.

Room Tip: Get one nearer the center if you want to use wifi.

went to laughlin for the first time and will probably never go back. harrahs is by for the nicest hotel out there. The rooms were ok. The casino was ok. I typically go to vegas 2-3 times a year and thought to give laughlin a shot. I went on the free flight that harrahs offers. I ended up renting a car and driving to vegas for 2 days. It worked out because I got to see hoover dam and spend time with gf on drive to vegas.
Rooms
Old Tv
comfortable bed
Could hear neighbors on both side at night and early morning

Casino
Decent mix of slots
few table games
very poor sportsbook
very tight machine

Food
Never ate in Hotel

If you are young, dont bother. Wasn't horrible nor fantastic. Go to Vegas, much nicer and younger. I am 33 years old.

Room Tip: pick the adult tower. closer to all the action

“First trip in a wheel chair..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

My wife and I recently took another trip to Laughlin but this trip was quite different from any previous due to me falling thru a roof and fracturing a couple vertebrae, so this trip was viewed from a wheel chair, our handi-cap room was perfect for my situation but did not have any special pulley systems to help get you in and out of bed or into the bath tub but the shower was wheel chair friendly, my only complaint was the carpets in the casino are like going thru sand!! So we rented an electric chair problem solved, would have been nice to get a discount on the chair since we were staying there all week though, The staff was wonderful and accommodating, the hot tub and pool area was kept well. The atmosphere is so much more relaxed then Las Vegas more like Vegas 30yrs ago..

Room Tip: The all Adult towers are nice and quiet no kids running up and down the halls..

“Ok time.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Spent 3 days in Laughlin at Harrah's. The hotel is getting on in age. If you are looking for a very inexpensive hotel, this may be the place for you. Price was only $19.99 a night and this was an upgrade from the $15.99 rooms. The difference between the rooms is that the more expensive room has a flat screen TV and a pillow top mattress, the less expensive room has the old style TV and a standard mattress. We were told that our room up just updated but I think they forgot to replace the carpet! Room was just ok. The buffet was quite good for the price. The casino was quite small and there were two areas, smoking and non-smoking. Had a cinabuns that you had to pass on the way to and from your room, were were in building 3. Also had a McDonalds there. Visited several other hotels in Laughlin and they were all pretty much the same. Small casino and looking their age. We drove from Las Vegas to Laughlin, it took about and hour and a half. Would I go back to Laughlin, no I don't think so, Vegas is much more fun!

“Clean Simple Room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Stayed one night in Harrah's, the casino was very clean. Stayed in Central Tower, non smoking section, the room was simple. Don't expect the Vegas style glamour with flat screens, because you won't get it. If your looking for a clean quiet place to stay with no frills, Harrah's will do.
