“Looks nice on the outside but BEWARE!”

I stayed at the EDGEWATER HOTEL in Laughlin NV.in February 2012 and was very disapointed
in the quality of the room.It apears not to have been updated ever, wallpaper hanging on the wall with tape, the bed old and lumpy furniture from the 1960 in general if you like a run down Motel 6 you will feel right at home. On the other hand for the same $$$ you can stay at Harrah's Laughlin.

Room Tip: None,stay elsewhere

“Needs updating, but clean”

We have been going to Laughlin for over 20 years. First time staying at the Edgewater. The rooms need updating, but they are clean. We saw a great concert in their E center, but the seats are extremely close. I would pay extra to have an end seat.

“Edgewater Again”

We love laughlin and usually stay at the Edgewater, all the years its been good, this time we got room 6904 which faces casino drive to the north side of the main entrance. About 2 am we were woken up by banging and crashing outside, people yelling and talking, sounded like a fork lift working and many other noises, this went on until we got up at 7am, we thought there must have been something happening that we were unaware of, and it was a one off, ...well nope that night again at 2am people yelling macjines driving etc...i got up and had a long and hard look, ..they have a work area down below!!!! they were unloading trucks and loading things, they banged and crashed all night yelling loud enough to know what they were saying!!!...they next day we requested and received a new room, they gave us a river view and it was a great night sleep, we love this place but feel a bit upset that after all the years we go there sometimes 2 -3 times a year they would stick us in a room like that.....but saying all that we will go back tomorrow, just be careful of your room you get....this is a fun place and all staff are always friendly

Room Tip: just stay away from the north side of the entrance door looking toward Casino Drive

“Edgewater - Another bargain”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

As a collector of coupons and promotions, I decided on the Edgewater promotion for January. It's hard to argue with a 12 dollar rate... actually I did and got the $18 upgrade to the Sedona Tower. The upgrade was worth it as the rooms were more modern and the view to the western mountains was scenic. The room was clean and the bed was adequate. The day before checking in I received an even better offer in my email. I mentioned it to the desk clerk who honored the lower rate with a smile. It is refreshing to see some good customer service. Dinner was at the Hickory Pit ($5 off coupon) and both the service and the food were good. Beware of the rack of ribs - the full rack is actually 2 racks stacked on top of each other - more than I could eat. Breakfast the next day at the buffet (more coupons got the price down to 85 cents.) It was typical buffet fare, nothing to write home about, but not bad either. I plan to return - the rates are even better for a two night stay.

Room Tip: Sedona tower is a good choice - the rooms are newer.

We prefer the Colorado Belle, but Edgewater is their sister location next door. Great prices, friendly staff, and very good buffet. Highly reccomend.
