“Good location but renovations needed asap!”

We had two rooms on the 5th floor in the South Towers and they both had problems with heat/AC and electrical. They both looked well worn, although clean and the mini fridge cabinet in one was rotted out. They moved part of our family to another room but it was not much better. They also moved registration to the back by valet and the self parking garage so the walk to our elevators was pretty long with our luggage.
The food court should be done away with as it is so old and lame and horrable. I walked across the strret every morning for coffee. We went to the buffet breakfast once and never again. We have eaten all over Vegas and we like small, less expensive places but this was over priced and just not good. We went to Palace Station for their wonderful $4.95 breakfast buffet...yum! Overall, the location to the airport is great and central location on the strip is good but they desparetly need on overhaul.

“A classic that has lost it's class”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

So this is a cheap hotel and casino which hasn't been renovated since the 1970's.
It used to be quite the place. Now it is faded, jaded and sorely past it's use by date.
Having said that, it has some charm. What can you say about a place that has it's
own tattoo parlour?

I Liked that:
- The staff were friendly and happy.
- the hotel provides free car parking and free wireless Internet which worked fine.
- My room was clean and quite large.
- the TV channels were quite good.
- the beds were quite good I thought.

I can also say:
- the decor is cheap and tacky.
- they charge you a mandatory resort fee ($11). If the pool is closed you still don't get to use it.
- a convenience store is located in the building.
- the casino looked pretty lame.

The place has a food court which was ok (I guess), but I recommend going next door to the peppermill which is fantastic (although it costs more).

This is not a good hotel for kids.

“Decent Room - Sub Par Otherwise”

We had a convention at the Riviera so we decided to stay there. We had a newer room in the Monaco Tower which was pretty nice. Small fridge, flat screen tv, wireless internet. The hotel and convention center need help. They want to promote their rat pack history but arent willing to invest in it - even to play music from that generation would help. Convention center had constant sound problems....embarrassing for a disc jockey convention! The small restaurants in food court are great - and have reasonable prices. We didn't eat at any of the other restaurants in the hotel because of other reviews.

“Cheap Prices for a reason”

There was hair in the sink when we got there. We had a renovated room and it was still disgusting. Flat screen TV and the comfy bed were the only two positive things. Worst smelling casino out of all of them. Location isn't great but it is on strip (Far North End). Casino itself was outdated, smelly, and quite ugly compared to all the other casinos on the strip. Wifi did not work in the room once. Had to call some random IT number and they said they would notify us when it was fixed. That never happened and suffice to say we had no Internet access.
