“dirty, smelly and loud oh my!”

When we arrived the hotel staff seemed curtious, however as soon as they realized we were not interested in any upgrades or time shares, the helpfulness and any politeness stopped there. Any time we asked a question after that they were short and snappy.

The room itself appeared clean at first. When we removed the couch cushions to pull the bed down from the wall, there was something slimy caked on the outside. It looked like blood and mucous. Disgusting! Also, when we opened one of the bathroom drawers it had dirty hair and a used bandaid in it. This room had definitely not been cleaned properly! The floor was also wet in several Large spots and the room had a strange smell.

One of the worst night's sleep I had in a long time. The bed was uncomfortable and there was a VERY annoying sound that would come through the air conditioning when it came on. I'm a deep sleeper and couldn't even shake it. I called to tell them about it and all I got was "oh, sorry".

On the postive, the rooftop pool and hottub were great and the hotel is centrally located on the strip. Perfect for walking to places close by. HOWEVER- you have to walk through a scary looking area to get out of the hotel.

Would never stay at a Diamond "Resorts" hotel again.

“Great location - mid-strip, good quality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

The Villas at Polo Towers are a timeshare, so certainly you may expect a sales pitch. We went and it was not bad at all, nothing pushy or over the top. Stayed in the 1 bedroom unit - which had a very comfy bed and lots of space. Had a partial strip view. Walk to the strip was about 100 yards or so - not bad at all.

Very centrally located for Vegas Strip, walked to everything. Would trade for this one again, for next time in Vegas

“The Other Las Vegas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Had a good time in LV @ Polo Towers. Good resort, went on an exchange. Had a great room on the 8th floor. Nice pool on roof, just too cold in Jan to take advantage. After 3 days of casino's and walking the strip we wanted to get away. The Clark County museum is 2-3 hrs well spent, also the Natural History Museum. We hiked in the Red Rock National Conservation Area and The Valley of Fire State Park. Saw the most awsome sunset on our way back from Valley of Fire taking the Northshore Rd along Lake Mead to LV.

Room Tip: Ours was on 8th floor overlooking a parking lot and the MGM Grand. It was quite.

“Mixed bag”

Well lets start with the positive. Fun, beautiful room. We were in a 1 bedroom on the 8th floor. Views were not good but that's okay. The front desk was not very helpful with transportation to and from the airport, a service that they should definitely offer. My downside: I have owned a timeshare for 10 years and have always been treated very well as a timeshare owner at a visiting resort. This hotel, couldn't care less. Before I arrived I had gone back and forth with one of the hotel representatives on the size of the space. We had originally booked a studio, which I was concerned with b/c of size. Finally since I was only using the room for 3 nights instead of the 7 that regularly comes with a timeshare exchange, the man that I was talking to said they would upgrade my room for free. When checking out there was an additional upgrade fee of over $100. Needless to say I am disputing the charge. I will look for another property next time I'm in Vegas. Sorry a few more negatives:No restaurant or lounge, no daily maid service, sketchy walk from the "strip" and lastly they charge you for coffee in your room after the first night :) (an important ingredient in a Vegas morning).

Room Tip: Get everything in writing if using a timeshare week here!
