This was my first (and last) trip to Las Vegas, and upon arrival at the property I felt that it met my expectations in terms of aesthetics and general customer service. The room was nice enough, but immediately upon dropping our bags on the floor we called requesting a room with a view of something other than the McDonalds and empty parking lots (i.e., the strip... duh). We were told they would call back with alternatives the next morning... never happened... not even just to tell us "there aren't any." I didn't get too concerned with that and kept soldiering on with our long weekend trip. Where Mandalay lost me was when they required you to BUY ($22) a float to USE their "lazy river" pool. No RENT option, just BUY a float and stuff it in your suitcase when you leave. THEN I went to workout one morning... the weight room? That's featured on the site without mention of an additional fee? Guess what... $25. I guess Mandalay Bay isn't profiting QUITE enough these days... never going back. AND the casino is at the end of the strip. Next to the airport. Don't plan on sleeping much...
