I had read the negative reviews extensively, and even spoke about them with the female LVH reservation agent. I speculated she was talking about the regular rooms when she strongly recommended the $10 per night upgrade to a "Premium" room. I did the upgrade. So when I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the room! Very spacious, newer carpeting and bedding, newer tile in the bathroom, and well appointed. My view was of the nearby Las Vegas Country Club golf course. I'm guessing I would not have liked the regular room, and further guessing that the negative TripAdvisor reviews and some pictures are of the regular rooms. The hotel has gone green, and they offer you a $10 resort voucher every night you decline housekeeping service. All you have to do is press the green button on the room phone before 1A, and they'll leave the voucher under your door the next day. Since I traveled alone this trip, I had plenty of towels to use for my 4 nights, and I only messed up one bed. So I was willing to get $10 a night (not valid your first or last day) to take 3 minutes to make my own bed and straighten my room each morning before I went out for the day. They actually left me more towels one morning anyway. Not sure if this was a mistake or if you can "go Green" and still order more towels. Also, the hotel is away from the Strip, so at the end of each day, it was nice to go to a nice quiet, clean property. If you're a party animal from L.A. looking for the newest UltraLounge, the LVH is not for you!
