“Don't expect much”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2011

Can't imagine where these people are staying that recommend this place? This hotel is very old. Beds were old and uncomfortable, the bath towels were just short of drying yourself with sandpaper. I booked this for one night because of price and the reviews were good, both here and on Expedia. The check in was easy and fast, the continental breakfast was bare minimum and the shuttle was good.
It is certainly not a room I wanted to sit around in, so spent all day and evening out on the strip.
Hooters is very close and has good lunch and dinner options.

Based on your review and comments from other guests we have replaced all our beds on the property. We also upgraded the rooms with 2 Double beds to 2 Queen size beds. I am pleased to see that there was no delay in checking in, and that our shuttle service met your expectations. I do hope you will try us again and let us know how you like our new beds.

“Don't expect to get a good night's sleep here”

So, the beds are the worse I have ever slept on, and we travel a lot. After flying here for 5 plus hours from the east coast, don't expect to get a good rested sleep. The beds are soo hard you feel the coils as your sleep. Nevertheless, the bathroom is clean.
You pay for what you get!

“Good value. good location and good night's sleep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2011

Stayed at this Motel for a week, extended daily from first two days. Motel is a comfortable and overall good value for it's two stars.

Basic room which had two double beds, good Sat TV, microwave and fridge. Tea & coffee available in the room and at reception. Toaster would have been a good touch. Was pleased the room had a bath and shower though, not s good for making toast...

Rooms in need of bit of updating and some TLC but functional and worth the money. Motel is directly opposite part of the airport run-way but noise was not an issue at all.

Heating is blow air type which is typical in US motels. Warms up quickly but can be noisy. Air wasn't really tested due to outside temps.

Free room safe and free Internet (fairly fast and reliable). Free parking directly outside your door. The 'pool' is more of a oversize outdoor bath.

On first impression some of the reception staff do seem a bit preoccupied and distant but that's not important to me and after a while they were friendly enough. they helpful enough to advise me not to put 'indecental' charges of debit card as is charged straigtaway, rather to use cedit card.

useful 'Bear-bites' breakfast consist of cakes,Bagels, cereal and coffee/tea.

I had read some of the reviews which said about security in the area etc. One day I accidentally left my safe door wide open while out for the day and with my money, passport etc in it. despite the room having been cleaned I returned to find all my possessions were in the room. To the staffs credit these items could easily have been taken and it would have been my error and my word against the Motels'.

For value and location I will probably stay here on my next visit to LV.

“No frills except fridge/microwave.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2011

This isn't a destination resort. It's a clean, safe budget hotel. The staff at the hotel was very courteous and stayed up late to wait for my late arrival. There is not much near this hotel, but it's within walking distance of the famous Strip hotels. I had a fridge and microwave which many of the big hotels won't provide. This place is an economical choice to stay in Vegas with room conveniences. They have an airport shuttle which operates only til approx 10pm. (Check w/ them for specific times.) So I had to take the city bus from the airport. Only three dollars, but you have to make 1 transfer: Take the 108 to Tropicana, then the 201 to Koval. (Busdrivers will tell you when you approach your desired street.) The downsides were small pillows, airport shuttle cut-off times, and NO ELEVATOR to get to 2nd story. The upside is the fridge/microwave and walking distance to strip. I felt safe here, and there was no excessive noise and no resort fees or other add-on charges. If you have a vehicle, parking is free at Travelodge. You can avoid the sheer mess of driving on the strip or into the various hotel roads by just walking.

“Don't wait around for the shuttle”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2011

We arrived at 10:30 p.m. and, once we got our bags, proceeded to the courtesy vehicle area. After waiting for almost an hour, we called the hotel, only to be told that the driver was done for the night. So we had to scurry around and find alternate transportation late at night. Not too happy about that, since we came from the east and were 3 hours later in our time clocks. The continental breakfast was barely enough to exist on -- store-bought danishes and some cereal and coffee. Only three seats, so we took it back to our room. There is better value elsewhere in Vegas. We won't be back. Fixtures are very outdated and worn and old-looking.
