One of the worst hotels I've stayed at in a log time. My wife and I decided to spend New Years eve in Las Vegas this year. I always stay at Holiday Inns when I travel so I have accumulated hundreds of thousands Priority Club points this past year. I booked this hotel only because the Holiday Inns were booked solid, since the Candlewood is in their chain of hotels I figured it would be of the same caliber since every room was a suite was, I wrong.
My first impression of the hotel was OK. Check in went smoothly even though the front desk clerk informed us that maid service wouldn't be happening since we were there for only two nights... no big deal. Our room was definitely not a suite, heater wasn't working, the refrigerator wasn't making ice (only option for ice at the hotel) and the bed was extra small. My wife and I are both tall people (over 6') our legs hung over the end of the bed so we had to sleep in the fetal position... not much fun since the bed is very narrow also. Our bed was uncomfortable as well, both of us were waking up all night long with numb body parts & aching backs. The walls are paper thin, we could hear our neighbors next to us, above us, and in the hallway all through out the two nights we were there. The TV was a joke also, the remote didn't work and it was an old school tube TV, maybe 20" at the most. The hallways stunk, some areas smelled moldy and the ever so familiar smell of marijuana lofting in area near our room.
This place is in need of some serious renovation, I wonder who wrote these positive reviews on this site? I'm no wimp either, I love camping/back packing & race 80' sailboats professionally... this place is one step below a Motel 6.
