I was originally supposed to spend 2 nights at this property but cancelled my second night and went elsewhere. I stayed in a 1 BR unit which was clean and roomy and would be fine for extended stays of up to a week. It had the typical Candlewood amenities, stove top, micro, 15cf fridge, dishes, dishwasher and all typical kitchen utensils. The work area was very good and doubles as the kitchen table. The chair was sub-par. The bathroom was Spartan, but adequate and clean.
The help was either very busy (all the time?) or inefficient. Two people behind the desk did not keep up with check ins, telephones and other typical duties. Upon entering the room at 10:00 pm ( 1 am EST) I noticed the room was warm and stale so I went to turn on A/C. The A/c was largely ineffective and the ductwork they use to vent cold air into the other room was a joke. The A/C was noisy as well. I would have left that evening, but I took a taxi to the hotel and many properties were sold out for the SEMA show, so I wasn’t going to hunt for a room at 1:00 am my time.
I tried to get e mail that evening and the internet was down, but it took 3 calls to the front desk to verify this. The next morning it worked, but was hideously slow.
I generally like Candlewoods, but this one is an underperformer. I give it a 70/100 overall and 75/100 for value.
Room Tip: Ask for room near elevators or be prepared to walk a LONG way to some of the rooms.
