“??Standards of a best western??”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2011

We drove into Vegas after midnight. Checked gps for best western and this popped up. First best western we've been to in the USA pretty disappointed!! For the amount of money we were charged found the hotel/motel in rough shape the front looked great but when u turn the corner not so pretty. Was really late and needed to get our kids to bed go in the room old swivel floor model tv in the room havent seen one of those in yrs. The bed is creaky every shift of my body made the bed creak found it irritating since other best westerns seem to have pillow top mattresses. We also got no breakfast which was bad as had to get up and go find my kids something somewhere else. I guess my expectations for the best western are to high. When u spend $130 a night you just expect certain things! We are in Vegas for three more days and will not be staying here. If the rest of the best westerns are like this in the USA we won't be staying in them either!!!!

“Nice property, very nice employees.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 April 2011

This property was newly remodeled and a nice property. The employees went out of their way to be helpful and remember our requests. Very nice, good restaurant attached. Too far to walk to strip, need a car or cab.

“Service Second to None!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2011

From Phyllis the front desk manager to Jeffrey the restaurant manager, the service was amazing from the time my wife and I arrived until the moment we left. In an age of diminishing customer service, the Best Western on Main Street and Washington exceeded our expectations and my wife and I will most certainly choose this location again!!

Very nice hotel, with a very friendly and courtsey staff. Nice restaurant to eat at, and very close to downtown vegas.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2011

Traveling with spouse and sister. Decided to not stay on the strip and remembered staying at hotel near a park. Thought it might be the same hotel, but the area has changed so much. The location seemed to be ok at first until the gps directed to enter from Main Street, which is impossible. We drove down Main until we could find a cross street to get us back to the hotel. We found there is a very large homeless community nearby. When we did find the correct entrance, we found the staff to be friendly. There appears to be two sections to the hotel. The main building attached to the lobby and a secondary
building located a fair distance from the lobby (across the parking lot near a pool). The room was ok, but not great (still ok with us since it was not expensive). The outside noise level was up all night, preventing uninterrupted sleep. Still no great deal. But, when we tried to shower in the morning, there was no hot water! Unfortunately, this was discovered about a minute into a shower by one of our party. The lady at the desk was very nice, but couldn't help. No maintenance staff was available. Sounded like no hot water was an ongoing problem, since she said maintenance usually tells the patron "to run the hot water faucet in the tub for a couple of minutes to get the water from the other end of the building" and that the problem happens when they have just a few guests. Running the hot water tap did not work, thus preventing us from showering before continuing our travels.
We were wondering if the guests were so few, why spread us out between the two buildings. Why not keep everyone in the main building, wouldn't that help resolve part of the water issue and make housekeeping's job easier confining the job to one structure? Also, it would have been nice to have been offered a hot shower in a room that did have hot water. We're sure the main building had no issue with no hot water.
We have faith in Best Western as a chain and am a member of the rewards program, but won't stay at the Main Street Inn on our next visit nor recommend it.
