“Reviews are spot on! Way to GO”

I have nothing to say bad about this property. They did everything to make sure our stay was beyond comfortable. The rooms definitely live up the pictures and the two person jacuzzi tub is AWESOME. I did think the service in the restaraunt was kind of slow but the servers themselves were warm and kind. One day we found that the jets on the pool jacuzzi were not working. I alerted someone in the restaraunt who immediately got on the phone with maintenance to have the problem resolved. The young lady at the front desk (Trinity C) did an excellent job setting up a reservation and getting us transportation to the indoor go cart racing. There was a little confusion at check in with how much $$ they will hold if you are paying with a debit card. I am not used to hotels discriminating between debit cards and credit cards use when booking hotels (car rentals do of course) In most situations this is might have soured my desire to use this property again but after a few short discussions we were able to work out something to please all parties. I just suggest that the reservation center is clear with the deposit policy since I did make my reservation on the phone. On a positive note, If you don't mind being off the strip (very close to Ballys, Westin and Flamingo) This is the place to stay!!! Mature, clean, nice staff. Also I did not like paying to use the business center but hey in Vegas they charge you for everything.

Room Tip: Im not sure if the extra for the strip view was worth it. I love seeing the strip skyline but we als...

“Best Staff, Best Balcony, Best off-strip view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Just returned from our 2nd visit to The Platinum and this stay was just as great as the last. The valet and check in process was awesome. Every staff person we encountered was super friendly and very accomodating. Because this is not a "mega hotel" you are welcomed and treated with familiarity by the delightful folks who work here. We were upgraded from a "north" strip view to a "full" strip view by Joseph at the front desk since it was our daughter's 1st trip to Vegas since turning 21. It was an amazing view and you could even see some of the Fountain Show at Bellagio from our balcony...YES I said balcony, which was large enough to have a table and 4 chairs! The FULL Kitchen allowed us to host a cocktail party for friends from England staying at another hotel so we could fix a variety of munchies and enjoy ourselves privately as if we were at home. (Housekeeping will bring you additional flatware, pans, plates or anything else you might need.) I also made coffee, toast & omelets each morning and some late night snacks when returning from the strip, which again saved us even more $$. The bathrobes, comfy beds & 2 person jacuzzi tub were just icing on the cake of an amazingly quality room. The pool area with firepit, the restaurant and lobby lounge "Stir" were also really enjoyable and fair priced. (Especially the daily "everything half off" happy hour from 4-8 pm). We also enjoyed the walk to the strip which is shorter if you cut through Bally's. There were just a few "interesting types" along the way so I recommend ladies walking with a companion, but other than that, it's across the street and maybe 70 yards into Bally's back parking lot & SportsBook where you can catch the monorail or access the Strip. This is also a great place for people who don't want to go thru a smokey casino with their children everytime they enter the front door. I will continue to recommend this hotel to friends and family as the delightful staff and amazing amenities bring the quality ABOVE and BEYOND what you get at a typical MegaVegas Hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms have balconies, however, if a FULL Vegas Strip View is important...be sure to request one.

“Awesome Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Stayed one night at the Platinum and did not want to leave.

From the moment we pulled up the staff was amazing. Complimentary valet in Vegas is unheard of and I was very impressed. We arrived 2 hours before the normal check in time but still had our room ready to go and check in took less than 5 minutes.

We stayed in the Solitaire Suite and it was HUGE. The room was clean and comfy and I felt very at home. We stayed on the 12th floor and had a partial view of the strip.

The inside pool was heated and nice.

Walk to the strip took less than 2 minutes. We even eventually made it to the Encore by walking. We then took a cab back and it costed $7

Will definitely stay here when I return to Vegas :-)

Room Tip: Solitaire Suite is perfect for up to 6 people and it is the cheapest option they have.

“Great Place - hidden secrets - long walks!”

Just spent 3 nights at the Platinum which a friend recommended. Very nice and super relaxing hotel. The employees are extremely friendly and have a lot of good advise when it comes to suggesting where to and where not to go! Talk to Brian and Nathan!!! The Valet guys can get you almost anywhere...talk to them, not to the front desk people. It is a walk to the strip but great exercise and worth the quiet of the rooms. We really didn't mind the walk. The food is incredible!! Happy Hour in the bar is awesome and the food for breakfast is very very reasonable and the view is great! My only complaint is that house keeping could do better! We were skipped one day but not a biggie and they sent up fresh towels when we asked for them. The next day I noticed things they missed. Watch your prices through because we traveled with friends who got a bigger room and a little better price when she mentioned a price change that I had found online in an email from the hotel it's self and had taken care of prior to our visit, but they ended up getting their's cheaper when they checked in. Oh well. The TV's are old but hey I wasn't there to watch, the view from the balcony was worth watching. Indoor outdoor heated pool and hot tub was a plus. Would I stay again? Maybe... only due to location...if not for location definitely!! This will sound funny but the elevators were awesome, there is nothing worse than waiting and waiting for an elevator and we never had too!! :) Front desk also very nicely let us check in early and offered a late check out!!

Room Tip: Watch for specials, check all rates on the hotel's website and don't hesitate to call back f...

“Wonderful hotel and staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

I am giving this hotel an excellent based on the quality of room you get for the money and great staff. First off, you are only a 10 minute walk from the strip and you end up at Ballys when you get there. The staff was always helpful and we really liked that we received a call about 15 minutes after we were in our room. This gave us enough time to unpack and realize we had some questions and viola a call from the staff wanting to know if there was anything we needed. The room was large and had a comfortable bed. We enjoyed cooking our breakfast. We also went to the Stir Lounge for happy hour. We found the appetizers to be yummy and the happy hour price was just right (1/2 off). I cannot say enough about the staff. They always seemed to want to make sure we were happy. The guys who get your car for you whenever you want are quick and also genuinely wanted to know if they could help us with directions or anything that we needed. Actually we felt like they knew us and cared about us when we were only there for 2 days. Forgot to add that the rooms were very quite and we were very near the elevator. Didn't miss being on the strip!

Room Tip: our floor was the 14th facing the strip. loved it.
