I came in on the friday of the October 2010 Rodeo. Rooms were extremely high for my budget so we chose the Manor Suites because they had availability. So first day of check in the two bedroom we paid for was on the third floor...okay, two flights of stairs (great!)...Apon entering the room, there is a coupla guys hanging out on the stair rails that looked up to no good, but we were able to get by without being said anything to. So as we go throught the door, you could smell a funny odor comin at you as you walked in.. Then we looked around and it was just a feeling that came over me that i knew it wasn't going to be a bad stay. We didn't like being so high up, plus we had a pregnant woman with us. So I went back down to the front desk and asked if the had another room that was down lower, So the desk clerk, Brent Cyhan proceeded to give me a change to look at the only two bedroom they had a the first floor which was the
Handicap suite. So I go over there and after having a problem of getting in the gate, as I entered the door there were several dead bugs in the door way, plus the further you walked in there were more. So I just turned around and walked out and returned back to the front desk and let Brent know what i saw and he said he doesn't know about how the rooms look because he doesn't go in them before hand. So, because all other rooms were like $200 + a nite, we went on and stayed. The next morning around 10am we hear a knock at the door, (which woke us up) and it was the Sheriffs that knock on our door by mistake. I mean it was just un-necessary things were happening that could have been prevented. Having to kill a red roach in one of the beds to trippin on one the rocks in the walkway because they use rocks instead of grass. The day of check out, I spoke with the General Manager, Remigio Perez, and filled him in on the stay and he just acted so non-shalant about the uncomfortable stay, that it frustrated me even more. I look at it like this, if im going to pay a nice sum of money to stay away from my home, i should be able to be comfortable to a certain extent. I know a facility doesn't have control to a certain limit of how their guests will act and be respectful of their property or the other guest, but they do have the responsibilty of the enviroment that is set up for their guest!!
