“Love this place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2012 NEW

Our first trip to Vegas was fabulous! We had the best place to stay. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Concierge was not the best. Guest relations was poor quality. So don't expect recommendations from them . Better results from taxi drivers. But the facility is wonderful. Thanks again to Mama Swinton for our f/r stay at this place. They need lessons in hospitality from Mama Swinton, from Charleston SC!

“Beats the Hilton Flamingo”

This was my second visit to the Marriott and it still met all my expectations. I had made reservations for the hilton flamingo during the memorial day holiday but checked out after seeing the room. The hilton flamingo was dated, dirty, and there is construction going on right next to it. I also did not like the noise coming from the flamingo hotel pool.
The marriott was quite, clean, and I feel is in a great location. Just one block off the strip but they have a side entrance just across the street to the miracle mile shops. Plus they have a new hughe Walgreens right at the corner. I will not make the mistake of straying again. Hands down the Marriott is still the BEST.

“Good location right off the Strip”

Stayed here for 9 nights and was pleasantly surprised. Although this is not on Las Vegas Blvd it is conveniently located. We stayed in a one bedroom and the size was about 800sq ft. The room was clean and quiet. I loved having a washer and dryer being as I was here for 10 days. The cons of this place are no restaurant or room service and the pool is very small and very crowded. I would stay here again and look forward to the new additions to the hotel.

“My favorite place but ...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2012 NEW

I stayed for 5 nights at the Chateau in mid May. It is normally my favorite place but not on this trip. I went shopping the first night and left new shoes in a shopping bag in my Suite. I was out all day for meetings. I came back to the room that evening, my new purchased shoes were gone. I reported to the missing shoes to the front desk manager. They sent up a security person and scanned the electronics key. It turned out that the only person who accessed the room was the maid. I stopped by the front desk everyday after the meeting and talked to three different managers each time but none of them could tell me anything. I finally received a call from the head security and I was told that the maid thought my new shoes were trash so she may have threw them away....@@###?? I was also told that it was my words against hers and I could have made up the whole story. That really was insulting. To make the long story short. My group booked a large block of rooms there for my meeting (about 50 suites). My protocol person had to contact the Conference manager to put in the complaint. Through all this, the hotel decided to refund me the cost of the shoes and gave me 5000 pts for being insulted by their head security. Wow, it alsmost took an act of God just to get reimbursed for the lost shoes. This should have been taken care of immediately not waiting for three days and numerous calls to do the right thing. I was very disappointed of the way the Hotel treated their customer. BTW, if you stay there, lock all your valuable in a safe.

Besides all this the accomodation is nice and it is close to the Strip with no casino. That was why I picked it. I would give it a 4.5 star until this incident.

“Great location, no smoke smells, spacious rooms”

I stayed with 5 other ladies in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. This was not an exchange or timeshare for me so we rented it as a hotel room. This meant we had daily towel service and they made your bed. The full kitchen was great as we could save on making breakfast in the room rather than going out for a $20 per person breakfast! There was a big table we could eat at with enough chairs for all of us.
The pool was not big, but it was nice that the roof top was private. Other hotels allow outside guests to use their pools for a fee, or if they get on the guest list. It was a good place to sit out, have a drink and enjoy the view.
We were lucky to have a room with a view of the strip and I am happy to report there was no construction noise at the time of our visit. If I ever go back to Vegas (which is debatable - my preference is not to, but I'm not into the nightlife/gambling scene), I would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the strip. While they give preference to timeshare owners, people with...
