“An OK place to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Our unit was renovated and appliances, laundry room, etc. were fine. LOTS of storage space in the kitchen and every room. Sofa was so uncomfortable we got them to bring us one more overstuffed armchair because neither my tall husband nor short me could sit on it without hurting our backs. Needed a little more color decor and had some strange empty spots that looked like something was missing. Bed was quite comfortable, pool and hot tub areas were nice, and open till midnight in the adult area. Good choice of television channels, good variety of cooking implements. We were very glad that we had brought a box full of decorative items, including a string of white Christmas lights to drape indoors, to brighten up the atmosphere. If you're driving here to enjoy the week relaxing at your timeshare, do bring things to spruce it up. Nice having a good foosball table, too.

“Best appointed time share I've ever stayed in!”

After 15 years of timeshare exchanges, I've created a list of pet peeves. They include lousy sheets and towels, cheap coffeemakers, and tiny wineglasses. It was like whoever fitted out these units understood what makes exchangers happy because the sheets were at least 500 TC, the towels were HUGE and comfy, the wineglasses were proper, and the coffeemaker was a top of the line Cuisinart. Well done!

“Staff was nice, but place was not”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

The staff was very nice and overall the resort looks good; however, the kitchen and laundry appliances in our unit were horrible. The electric stove was ancient and the connections in the burners sparked when used. The refrigerator's ice maker did not work. (The staff was nice enough to bring a bag of ice when I called to complain).

The dishwasher was not only old/older than the stove, it was loud enough to drown out conversation in the kitchen. The disposal unit was so loud, you could hear it outside and the entire kitchen shook when it was used. The countertops were slightly warped from water.

The laundry washer and dryer were loud enough that you could not talk in the area and needed to turn the TV up considerably even with the door closed. The dryer exhaust obviously needed cleaning because the laundry took 2 cycles to dry on the highest setting every time.

This is not what I expect when taking my family on a vacation. The staff was very nice, but the resort was not close to the rating given. Find other options.

“Relaxing stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Desert Paradise is just outside the hubbub of downtown Las Vegas. For me and my family that was nice. The resort was clean and had everything for our needs. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Stay in the center, but away from the pool pump.

“Great place to stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

This is second time we have stayed here, very nice. We alway rent a car so it doesnt bother us that it isnt on the strip. Staff is always helpful and they have a computer room for use so you can check email and print return tickets for free. They have a free paper each morning in the lobby. Very nice place.
