“Do not stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 May 2007

I booked this "Suite" through travelocity. It's a glorified timeshare. The apartment we stayed in was not the same address as the apartments on the Sonoran Suites website. It was run-down and quite old. They call you up before you even get there and make you fill out a bunch of forms and fax them your ID/credit card. Cigarette butts outside the front door. Sub-basic cable (10 channels-3 of which were spanish language or home shopping). You had to pay extra for maid service. You had to pay extra for internet. You had to clean the apartment, wash the dishes, etc or they charge you $50 extra at the end of your stay. It's a joke. Don't be fooled by the original $300/night price tag. That usually includes golf at a selection of Las Vegas' golf courses. My advice is to stay at a REAL hotel or join a timeshare that at least keeps the place nice.

In response to the most recent guest review; Sonoran Suites has never advertised itself as a timeshare nor a hotel. We take pride in the fact that we are a “condo- style” vacation rental.
We do contact the guest prior to their arrival to inform them of the unit information. Certain paperwork is required to stay with Sonoran Suites. As with any accommodations provider we do require a credit card on file for incidental charges. We do not ask for a clean unit upon departure, we ask that dishes are put in the dishwasher and run and that unit is left similar to how it was arrived upon. We do not expect the guest to do laundry or clean the unit; we do have housekeepers that clean the entire unit after the guest has departed. As for housekeeping; because we are not a hotel we do not have free daily housekeeping service. Housekeeping service is available for an additional charge. Every reservation has the option of adding this service to their reservation. Sonoran suites offer an added value for most travelers that many hotels cannot. We offer two and three bedroom condo vacation rentals. Many families, large groups and even business travelers enjoy the freedom they have while staying with Sonoran Suites. Sonoran Suites does pride itself on being very customer service friendly and will try to fix any problems in a very timely manor. This guest never contacted a Sonoran Suites representative to voice problems with the unit. Had that been done, we would have gladly tried to fix the problems within a timely manor. Our staff has a combined 90 years of customer service and hospitality experience. We will help our guest through any situation the whole stay with us.

“Great Golf Vacation!!”

We had a great stay at Sonoran Suites in Las Vegas. We booked direct through the company based a friend's referral. The courses we played were great and we were able to book our preferred tee times. The suite was awesome, having two full bathrooms and the privacy of a condo was exactly what we were looking for. The beds were comfortable and the furnishing were very nice. A paint job may be in order for the exterior, otherwise everything was very nice. We will certainly use Sonoran Suites again as the accommodations and service were top notch and the convenience of booking tee times with the same company was also very much appreciated.

“Unethical company, use extreme caution”

BE Careful, the company which rents this property is in Phoenix, they are very difficult to deal with and are very rude. The property in adequate, yet somewhat deteriorated and not well maintained. The company added additonal charges to credit card without authorization. If you book, use a credit card which can be disputed as you will need to be able remove charges. Probably not worth the hassle when looking for a location in Las Vegas.

In response to the above comment, it is Sonoran Suites policy to charge the balance due to the name and credit card on the reservation. This guest wanted Sonoran Suites to charge a random credit card for the balance due without permission from the cardholder. Sonoran Suites is serious about protecting the security of individuals personal and credit card information. This guest’s refusal to adhere to our policy and provide us with proper cardholder permission established his fraudulent intentions. Sonoran Suites offers premium condominium vacation rentals throughout the Southwest, and just minutes from the strip in Las Vegas. We have been established in Las Vegas for over 7 years and operate these properties from our corporate office in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Just called and was told that they would not accomodate a handicap person - thought this was illegal in the USA.

“A Very Poor Experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2006

This was a very poor experience. Getting the paperwork filled out for this condo stretched out over a month before we ever arrived made me feel like we were buying it and not renting it for the weekend. The Sonoran representative called multiple times about forms and faxes, often they were not even sure what they needed or if they already had what there were currently asking for. They wanted copies of credit cards, driver's licenses and signatures galore. They sent us a confirmation that we were staying in a particular condo complex in Las Vegas, and then the day before we were to arrive they send an email confirmation that stated we were scheduled in a different condo complex several miles away, never stating that we were moved or why. When we finally worked through the red tap and arrived at the second addresss for the condo and it was dirty, with food on the floor, insects, insufficent towels, and no pool key. Contractors showed up while we were staying there who were apparently scheduled to work on the unit. We called the Sonoran contact number about the missing pool key and inquired as to how we could get another and they said it would take days to get it to us (which was going to be after we left). They never got us a key. (Remember that they have no office on site where the condos are -- you're left to work through a phone number and a mysterious offsite office.) We mentioned the excessive bugs when we were asking for the pool key (dead bugs and not so dead bugs all throughout the condo) and the representative on the phone flippantly said, "Well your in the desert you know, that's the way it's going to be." When I arrived back home from our trip, I got a reciept in the mail that indicated that they had charged my credit card an extra penalty of $50 bucks for losing their keys!!! Unbelievable! I travel quite a bit and have stayed in a lot of hotels and condos and this was the worst experience I've had. I would never rent from this company again. I obviously do not recommend it.
