“Great family get away!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2009

We are a family of 5 and chose Sonoran Suites for their condo rentals because we liked the idea of a kitchen and private bedrooms. The suites were very clean and the property was amazing. We really enjoyed the pool area and the location of the condos were very close to the strip making first trip to Las Vegas a great one. The staff at Sonoran Suites was very helpful when we arrived and made our stay pleasant. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a nice, quiet and clean place to stay.

“We couldn't even enter the unit.”

I made reservations for June 26th and June 27th for me, my sister and my two nieces, ages 15 and 11. We received the check in information via email and I was careful to keep it as it was clear that we would need a code to enter the gated community and a separate combination to open the lockbox. We arrived about 10pm, after a long and stressful drive from LA. The code worked fine to open the gate, but when we arrived at the unit with all of our bags, there was no faceplate on the lockbox and no key. I called both of the emergency numbers and had to leave messages as no one answered. I got a call back and explained the situation. The caller promised to try to find someone to come and let us in and said she would call right back. After more than 15 minutes passed, we had heard nothing. I called both emergency numbers again and left another message. She called back and said she hadn't been able to find anyone and that there were no other units available. Therefore, her only solution was to connect me with Expedia so that I could work it out myself with Expedia. In the end, Expedia did not offer any suitable substitutions, but offered to refund my money if I wanted to find something myself. I accepted that offer and set out at 1130pm to find a room for the night. I was able to find a very acceptable 2 bedroom suite at the Residence Inn. Just terrible service from Sonoran. Interestingly, I tried to leave feedback at Expedia, but apparently since we never actually were able to use the room, I don't have access to register comments! Please note that to leave this review, I had to assign a rating to cleanliness, service, location, value and rooms, but I never got to see the unit!

“Best Stay in Vegas Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 June 2008

I go to Vegas about once a month, sometimes for fun, sometimes for business and I thought I had stayed everywhere. I found Sonoran Suites on this website, when I saw the mixed reviews I wasn't sure what to think so I called them directly. They provide a condo vacation rental, which was great for the 4 of us making this trip. The condo was in great shape, close to the Strip (about 4 miles, cost us $12 in a cab) and had everything you could ask for - full kitchen, washer/dryer, living room with a couple of couches and the beds were great. We asked for four twin beds and got exactly that. I called Sonoran Suites direct to book and they were great, within a couple of minutes I was all set for our weekend in Vegas. Any time I go to Vegas on my own dime I am going to stay here, very clean, comfortable and the amenities on site are the same as most resorts without the constant "in your face" stuff as most Strip hotels. Close to The Strip, close to golf courses, and easy to get to from the airport.

“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2008

What a great stay we had at Sonoran Suites in Las Vegas. The price seemed high at first until we realized this was a two bedroom condo that could sleep 4 people, what a deal! The condo suite was very clean and I was impressed with the full kitchen, even had dishes and cook ware. Two full bathrooms and two bedrooms were great, perfect for us. It was just a short ride to The Strip in a cab, cost us about $15. We will stay here again!

“Surprised”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2008

A few friends and I decided to do vegas for new years at the last minute. I logged on to expedia and was shocked to find a 3 bedroom 2 bath suite, only a few miles from the strip, available at the sonoran suites for only $131/night. Instantly I booked it! I was shocked to have found such a great deal... so I thought what is the catch here? I began to research about the property as much as I could, and found many reviews that talked about cochroaches, no service, dirty sheets, ect... needless to say I started to get worried. worried enough to called expedia and find out about a refund if this place turned out to be a dump! the expedia rep left me on hold for 40 minutes until I hung up. I can tell you that some of the things in these reviews turned out to be kind of true, for instance if you book this place they will contact you and ask you to get them a copy of an ID and a credit card, and sign a policy statement, but I am sure all hotels require that. you will have to fax or email this info to them as there are no onsite staff to check in with or help you with any problems. When they called me to give me the info on the property, i.e. gate codes, they told me an address different from the property on expedia, which I had read other people talk about this and how it was miserable. now I was really worried, and we kept no expectations. When we got to vegas we were shocked. this place was very nice. We all had our own bedroom and having two baths was a blessing. The kitchen was fully loaded and very convenient. the man that talked about the beds being two beds put together was telling the truth, but they were still comfortable and yes I am 6'3 just like him. The TV reviews are also true, very limited cable, but you can buy more channels if you like, this did not bother us as we did not come to vegas to watch tv. The people saying this place is a dump I honestly believe they are either just upset about something else, or they live in 20 million dollar homes. Because I do not see how anyone could truthfully say this place is a dump. It is also true that they ask you to clean up a little, or hire a maid service for $50, it took me 20 minutes to put the dishes in the dishwasher and pick up the trash. This is not a hotel it is a condo and the neighbors are not on vacation, which is a little weird, but you do have to be aware that they may have to work tomorrow. so people planning to after-party in the room keep it small or book something else, we managed to make it work till the sun came up. The one thing that is negative is that you have to take a cab or drive to the strip. a cab ride is $21, but when we added $40/day to the cost for the room it still is a great deal. this room on the strip would easily be $1000+ a night, and on new years probably 5 times that. All in all I would tell people to not be bothered by the negative reviews, and if you see a good deal here, book it as long as you do not mind the few quarks that come with being in a condo not a hotel. we would definitely reserve this again. I have included photos that we took when we arrived to brag to our friends.
