I just came back from a week in Vegas, and due to Superbowl weekend, had to find a place to stay off the Strip for one night. My friend and I booked a suite at the Westgate Flamingo, which we didn't realize was a timeshare. When we arrived, the guard at the gate greeted us, and we went to reception. All the staff walking the grounds and at reception were very friendly and warm. I had requested a second floor room and got it. Lugging our bags up the stairs and juggling the swipe card to get in the gate at the bank of rooms took some finesse though. The living area of the suite was quite nice. Very roomy and clean. I took the queen bedroom and my friend took the king. Her room was quite nice, though having the jacuzzi tub right IN the bedroom was a bit odd. My room was alright, no frills but clean. My pillows were laughable though... they were so lumpy that they were almost round in shape. I managed to beat one into a flat-ish shape that was manageable. Upgraded linens are needed for sure at this resort. My bathroom was clean, however it had a hole in the wall, I assume where a towel bar had been? My shower stall door also did not close, though I forced it. So water ended up flooding onto the bathroom floor, which I had to sop up with towels. Not the end of the world, but a mild nuisance. Our stay was quiet and uneventful, and I felt secure being inside the gate of the resort. The grounds as well were beautiful and well kept. We used the Shuttle to the Strip and the driver was friendly and on time in both directions. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay off the Strip at a place where you can still have the comforts of home, and a kitchen.
