Stayed here Feb. 7-11th. Budget minded travellers looking for a good location. There were 8 of us in the group - half spent the majority of the time gambling, half sight seeing. Worked out great for all of us!
Rooms
Check-in was a breeze. (arrived around 5pm on a Tueday). We had room 6112, with the $25 upgrade for the roman soaking tub. Um yeah, husband thought this would mean hot tub and really it's just a big bath tub but it did suit his needs as he needed to soak his aching legs after walking all day. And better yet, the room had a single serve coffee maker so we could each enjoy a cup of coffee while getting ready each morning. The room was dated and there were some stains on the carpet but overall it seemed clean. Tons of space, dual vanities, two big closets, walk in shower, toilet stall and a fancy little drinking fountain (oh wait, that was a bidet). Others in the group had the standard room and enjoyed views of the fountains. Some complained of the noise - but in our room we didn't hear a peep. We had a view of Bill's Gambling Hall :)
Casino
The casino was decent size but small enough that we could find the other members of our group. I even hit an $800 jackpot while there and another member of our group won $900! Sign up for the players card and they give you $5 free play and you'll receive discounts at the shops, including the ones at Paris (probably other sister properties but we didn't do much shopping).
Eats & Drinks
Had a couple of meals at the Tequila Bar. Husband enjoyed their burger and I loved the $2 tacos and $2 margaritas. We even attempted the nacho platter one night to soak up some booze - should have waited until all 8 of us were there as we couldn't even put a dent in it. Very yummy but HUGE!
There were also restaurants downstairs by the shops. They closed at 11 but we did managet to hit up Nathan's one night (look for buy one get one 50% off coupons), and the hot dogs and cheesesteak were good. Several people in our group ate at Nosh and enjoyed their food from there (right by the elevators to the rooms).
Location, location, location
This is the biggest draw in my opinion. The location was perfect, center strip. Close enough for Bill's drink and breakfast specials, O'Shea's frozen Bailey's, and not too far from Ellis Island's cheap meals (though we never made it there). Right across from the Bellagio fountains and a hop, skip and jump to Caesar's Palace if you're looking for some fancy shopping. Bally's is connected to Paris which has even more fun to offer. At check in we received coupons, including a 2-4-1 ride on the Eiffel tower where we viewed the Bellagio fountain show from the top of the tower at night - very cool. And the casino at Paris was fun too, great music playing there. Also enjoyed the trip to the Sugar Factory and bought souvenirs using our discount from the players card.
Overall, this hotel worked out great for our group as it had something for everyone and wasn't so huge that we couldn't find each other when necessary. It's not fancy, so if that's what you're looking for keep looking. But the price was right and I would be happy to stay here again.
