Check-in was wonderful, the girl who helped us was awesome, so for customer service, I would give her 5 stars! Our room was cute at first glance, nice looking pool, figured we were in for a nice treat. Wasn't happy about the 2.99 per 24 hour internet, either, I personally feel if you have internet, just offer it, it's not a hard thing to manage, then when it's slow/breaks/won't connect, people won't be as upset! Took us over an hour with tech support to get one of our computers to connect (it's 2.99 PER device), and even then we couldn't fully connect. Tech support was great, but the routers are not labeled properly so he basically had to randomly reset routers all over the property - for those in the know, you understand how the other connected guests must have loved that.
Still - going with the benefit of the doubt. Then came the dirt! An hour into our room and everything was black. The floor was filthy. Not sure a light laminate (although very modern and IKEA-looking) was a wise choice for a motel right off the strip. The Euro style furnishings may work for some, but not for anyone looking to do any real work or use the table for anything but a cup of coffee (which will run you $4 per day to 'rent' a machine) They offer free coffee at the nearby mini-mart early in the AM, but it's just a straight 8oz styrofoam cup, no real cream (powder), and no chance to take a cup back for your spouse. Violators will be shot - well, it seemed like it, at least from the unwelcoming signs surrounding the coffee area.
Vending machine ate my money, tried three times to contact the "independent" fridge/microwave rental service attendant in the lobby. Didn't take plastic, seemed taken aback by the thought that we'd even consider using a card - this is Vegas, didn't feel like walking around with a bunch of cash in my wallet. Came back with cash the next day, no one was around.
TV seems promising, but the only channel I actually wanted to watch did not come in, the rest is a scaled down basic cable, looks more impressive than it turns out to be.
Lastly - and MOST important to me, were the roaches. I can put up with a lot, and I sooo wanted to like this place due to the location, pool, and kindness of the girl in the front. However, I don't do roaches, period. Also have a giant patch of bug bites on my skin, don't even want to think about what might have caused those.
We spent way too much for a Motel 6, and if we had the normal rates, I still wouldn't have been happy due to the filth and dirt situation.
Families - stay away at all costs! Bad area, suspiciously empty considering all the other motels were full for the CES. Should have known better! College kids wanted a place to crash after a night of drinking - I'm sure you could handle it :o)
