The staff is very friendly and competent,and check-in and check out was swift and uncomplicated. The unit is equipped with the usual amenities of the World Mark units. It is a nicety that there is shuttle service to the strip and also a grocery run to a nearby Albertson's. We were in a unit with windows towards Tropicana Ave.,and unfortunately the noise level was significant enough to be a disturbance during the night. We would recommend to anybody who values a good night's sleep to ask for a suite away from Tropicana.You pay for internet connection in your suite.Nevertheless we were without internet for a full evening,and this was a major inconvenience, as we have an internet related business. The internet provider did refund us the money. There was a friendly invitation on check in to a presentation(time share),which we declined,as we had full time commitments during our stay ,attending a conference. Nevertheless we had two more calls during the next two days, inviting us again.("And could you not come on Sunday morning before you are leaving?")Well, we certainly could not and would not ...

I come to this tripadvisor quite often when I am traveling just to get some sort of heads up as to where I should stay or what the place is going to be like that I have booked. I was not overly excited about the reviews I read regarding Worldmark Tropicana but I figured I enjoy most Worldmark facilities so it can't be that bad. This facility on Tropicana was adequate, not great not over the top but ok. It was clean and provided average items for a short stay. The pool was nice and refreshing and not many people hung out there so it was great when you just wanted a little down time to relax. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment on the ground floor, our deck was bigger than the others which was nice but only 3 of us could comfortably sit out there and smoke no eating would be done since there was no room. The washer and dryer were outside off the deck in a little room which was nice to keep the heat from staying inside. The air conditioning really worked it kept the place nice and cool during the hot 100 degree temp. The master bedroom had a great king bed with a TV but the second room only provided a queen with NO TV and that was not ok with me. The living room had a very uncomfortable pull out and a very old TV with basic channels not real impressed but again VEGAS, really should I be staying in our place watching TV. The Orleans casino is only 1 mile away which we walked to every day....plus on the way was a Denny's, Walmart, Starbucks, and a couple other small stores. We obvioulsy opted to not have a car this trip but next time I think it will be a good idea. Overall my accomodations were decent and I had no complaints my only PROBLEM------was the sales staff for the facility. I have never been hounded so much in my entire life as to come to a presentation to stay. ( I was there w/an owner) I finally caved and agreed on my last day there to go to the presentation....explaining I would not purchase as my parents are members and I get to travel quite frequently w/them and financially it was not a time. They promised me $75, a show ticket and buffet - what I actually received was only $75 after the time spent I could care less it was HORRIBLE. The first gal I had was personable and understood (or seemed to) that this was not something we could do (OH yeah I got engaged during my trip). The "closer" came in - and started her speach about her last trip she took with her daughter that died 8 years ago - REALLY that is the kind of closing information I want to have is about you and your dead daughter and your final worldmark vacation you two spent together - NOT. I was pissed and ended soon after that, I now have such a bad taste in my mouth about WORLDMARK and their sales people. I will stay again in a facility but will NEVER engage in a sales presentation again.

I and 2 others stayed at the Worldmark Tropicana for 2 weeks in Oct 2011 we are from Australia and have enjoyed what LV has to offer several times..
Had a great time. We had a great unit at the back of the resort. No issues with noise. Enjoyed the free floor show the local poilce put on one night along the side street.
We would stay there again. Shuttle service to the strip was very good and always there when scheduled.

We were able to get a 1-bedroom unit at WorldMark Tropicana on bonus time for just one night as we traveled from Salem, Oregon through Reno and Las Vegas on our way to Williams, Arizona and the Grand Canyon. We were greeted by wonderful, friendly staff who not only gave us the info we needed about our unit and the resort amenities, but also answered our questions about surrounding attractions. We had no desire to go to the 'Strip' since we were just passing through, but wanted to check out the resort and its proximity to where we'll be attending the WCC basketball tournament next March. Our unit was clean and in excellent condition. We have been WorldMark owners for 13 years and have stayed at many of their resorts. We look forward to going back in March 2012 and are glad we have it booked already.
