“hidden inn caught by surprise!”

our flight was cancelled and due to no flight for that night we had no choice to spend another night at las vegas. this hotel was recommended by the airport staff due to we do not want to spend too much money to additional night stay in vegas. super 8 had an airport picked up van. the check in is quiet fast and the staff even recommended us to take the family room that can accomodate 6 of us due to our budget of having to stay additional night.rooms has basic ammenities hot shower, tv, coffee maker, towels. they even have coffee/ tea 24 hours at the lobby. it only takes app. 10min walk to vegas central attraction. not a bad recommendation by the airport staff.

“HORRIBLE PLACE”

From the moment we walked in, it was a horrible experience. We had prepaid for our stay. But it took them an hour to find us in there system. We were there first, but they checked in 30 people who hadn't prepaid before us. We paid for a non-smoking room, they gave us a smoking room, a horrible mix with asthma. We put the do not disturb sign up, they came in anyway. There was pet stains all over the hotel. There were holes in the walls were termites came through. We ordered a queen size bed, we got a double, we could feel the springs coming through on the bed. Will never go here again. The ONLY good thing about this place is the location. However, even with that, there was a bunch of homeless people hanging around the hotel. My husband stated "The world's dummest people work there"

“excellent value, and a wise use of your money in Vegas”

This is a very smart alternative to paying hundreds of dollars to stay on the Strip. This hotel is an easy walk to the strip, and provides everything a traveler needs. Free wi-fi, free airport shuttle, free parking, and they also offer room service (yes they do!) and have snack & bottled-water machines available. No resort fees, no nighttime pool closure, no street noise. Next door is an award-winning Brewery/casino/restaurant with an award-winning players' club. The place is always lively and well-frequented, with slots, gaming tables, and even karaoke. Besides the restaurant, the casino also includes a BBQ place and a pizza/salad place. The rooms are simple (not "elegant", not "swanky", just basic) and they are clean. The beds are firm. There's also a gas station on the other side of the brewery/casino, for anything else you could possibly want. I didn't notice any kind of street noise, and the place seems safe. This hotel is the most logical place to stay in Vegas. I'm a repeat customer.

“Great for your wallet...Murder to your Body”

Yes the price of this hotel is very cheap but when it comes down to it you expect a good nights sleep out of any hotel. It could not be had in our room the mattress was very out of date and the springs could be felt throughout. The pillows had no life left...we asked for better ones and were told they are all like that...hmmm. We had a dog with us and were therefore forced to stay in a smoking room. The room smelled horrible even when we purchased our own air freshner to spray in the room. Pictures on the website are deceiving and shot from the best angles possible to make this dump look much better then it is. Also do not recommend this as a family spot with the class of people staying here.

“What do you expect from a Super 8? Good place for the price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010

Picture a Super 8 in any part of the country. Then make it a lot larger, and transport it to a couple blocks off the Strip. Voila - you have Super 8 on Koval Lane.

Pros: Within walking distance of the Strip - you are close to Flamingo Ave (The Flamingo, Ballys, Paris, Bellagio, etc.). It's cheap. It doesn't have resort fees or other hidden fees. Free ice. Heated outdoor pool is open 24 hours. Free Internet access (albeit a bit on the slow side). The casino/restaurant connected by a breezeway has great ribs and good value on other food. No bedbugs in our room (although they're in other nearby hotels, even the pricey ones). I rarely heard our neighbors and never heard anyone in the hallway.

Cons: In case you're expecting luxury, remember that it's a Super 8. The carpet hadn't been shampooed in a while. The AC unit under the window was a bit noisy and seemed to have trouble keeping up with the mid-90 temps. (It was comfortable for us, but not cold.) The sheets were a bit thin. The elevator was ugly. BIG DEAL! It's a bit of a walk to and from the Strip if your feet are tired, but we found it easy to cut through Bally's and Paris to get to the bus stop on the Strip - shorter walk, air conditioned, and fewer of those call-girl literature hawkers bothering you!
