The hotel was quiet, there were no slot machines in the lobby or hotel. Our "no-smoking" room really was smoke-free, suiting us to a tee. Since we were not interested in a "resort experience" it did not bother us that the view out our window was of a trucking firm's backyard. Everything was very clean.
The bed was comfortable, the room was furnished with small fridge and microwave. An adequate desk & chair were provided. We used the high speed internet. There also was a large flat-screen tv.
Either the hotel is newer or has been extensively (and seamlessly) upgraded. I was impressed with design features that saved water and electricity without burdening the guest with any inconvenience. Our room was provided with a bath-tub-sized shower in place of a bathtub, also a pleasant surprise.
The continental breakfast bar was well-stocked. A generously-sized eating area included both tables and booths. Another family-friendly feature was that the booths along the walls included small wall-mounted flat screen tv's should someone be interested in watching as they ate.
A small "business center" included three internet-connected computers, and a black/white laser printer in an alcove off the lobby. Two of the computers needed some software updates, but all were adequate for e-mail and small printing tasks, such as boarding passes, map directions and the like.
Las Vegas is generally not "our thing". We arranged, more or less at the last minute, to spend Thanksgiving weekend in Henderson to attend a grandson's youth baseball tournament. We figured we could survive almost anything to support the grandkids, so it was really an added bonus that our stay was so comfortable.
Room Tip: I strongly suspect that our room would have been wheel chair accessible - doors were wide, bathroom...
