We have stayed at Homewood Suites too many times to count since the Brand was introduced, and it is always our preference when available. The apartment-like suites with kitchenette,full breakfast at regular motel rates make HS stand out from the crowd.
On our last trip to Las Vegas, we had no strict travel plans and after a few nights on the strip, we decided to stay a few nights at the HS in nearby Henderson.
The property is hard to initially find, hiding behind a Jiffy Lube on a very busy shopping mall strip and one of the few times I ever needed a GPS to find a place, but aside from that, a very well staffed and run hotel. Staff is friendly, helpful and top-notch, rooms are clean, in great condition, facilities are great, breakfast is well-stocked and great quality. Location is great too, being only 10min from downtown Vegas and 20min to Lake Mead. To be able to enjoy the action of Vegas at night and return to the quiet 'burbs of 7 Hills was the best of both worlds.If you need to shop, there are over two miles of stores and restaurants from the hotel to the highway. After being there for a weekend, the staff was so friendly, we felt like we lived there.The vibe was so relaxing, we extended another two days,before heading up to Reno.
The following week, we returned for a few nights on the tail end of our trip, and were treated like old friends. Truly, this is one of the best Homewood Suites we have ever stayed with.

I stayed the last days of September 2011. The looks very new the suites are very clean, new, big and wih all appliances to cook if you want. Breakfast is as good as expected. Staff has been very nice to me and solved an internet issue shortly.
It takes about 15 min to drove to the Strip and kt is amazin the amount of parking available on the hotels (for free). The hotel is surrounded by stores like Kmart, Trader Joes..etc.
Overall a very nice stay where just some internet issue and problems with HBO and some others not being a le to tune.

If you are for business and you are on a budget, this is your choice. Great value, breakfast and dinner included.

Things to improve: quality of breakfast and dinner

I was in Henderson last week and stayed at this Homewood Suites. My stay was a pleasant one and I couldn't have been happier with the location. Majority of my time was spent in Las Vegas, but I always prefer to stay away from the strip and crowds and had no problem with the 20 minute drive to the strip.

Though I drove in from Orange County, they do offer a shuttle to and from the airport which is a nice service if you need it. The location is perfect, they are close to many restaurants both dine in and fast food.

Since the suites have full size refrigerators, stove and microwave, I always look for a Walmart to buy snacks and drinks and I was able to find one located about 2 miles from the hotel.

Homewood Suites provides a buffet breakfast for their guests in the morning. Now, it is a cook to order buffet like at the Embassy Suites but the breakfast was pretty tasty and the selections changed each day.

Like the Embassy suites, they also provide a managers reception with beer, wine, soda and snacks though not any hard liquor from M-Th. They provide a menu in each suite that is attached to your frig.

My suite was clean and roomy with a king size bed that was very comfortable and a nice touch with a ceiling fan. The room A/C worked with no problem which was great since the temperature was over 100 degrees every day I was in town.

The Internet service worked great, I think that they had wireless but since I used the hard wire hookup for internet access which is what I prefer, I never check to see how the wireless worked.

They have a very nice size pool with BBQ grills if you prefer to do a little grilling. Hotel was quiet but I was there from Tue-Fri so I can't say how the noise was over the weekend. Employees were very nice, they said hello which is always nice.

I would highly recommend this property if you need a very nice hotel to stay at during a visit to Vegas. It felt very safe and I would have no problem staying here with my family as I never felt unsafe nor did I see any unsafe acts taking place in the hotel or around the surrounding area.
