On your next trip to Sin City (Vegas), you should treat yourself to a stay in Old World charm at Green Valley Ranch. I spent 4 days there, feeling as if I were at a Spanish estate, a heavenly stay, where there are well-appointed rooms with the fluffiest down pillows and most comfortable beds, huge bathroom with deep tub, separate large glassed-on shower and toilet, Bose sound system, great top-shelf mini bar, and most awesome and helpful staff. The resort is exceptionally well-maintained and looks as if it were built yesterday.....gorgeous pools, spa, and cabanas lined with palm trees. Great eateries, too, all in a serene setting away from the noisy Strip yet close enough. After the tacky, over-used, and poorly maintained affordable rooms on the Strip, Green Valley Ranch is divine with a rocking casino (where I won $800 on a PENNY slot after playing only $10!), clubs, and tons of great eateries for a snack or fine dining. If you get a "player's card," a Station Casino Boarding Pass, you are eligible for tons of freebies, including free play, complimentary rooms for your return visit, free food and drinks! I was there in November and played the slots and at the suggestion of a casino worker, I signed up for the card, and was pleasantly surprised with an offer by mail to return for a complimentary visit! Two days turned into four, with the resort even waiving the "resort fee" for the entire stay! Can't ask for more than that!!!
There's a club with what I refer to as the "casbah" room with huge beds/sofas surrounded by sheer draping to give your party a more private feel, large fireplace and the BEST bartenders! The pool area also has these huge cutout cubes with big beds and colorful throw pillows, and there's the infinity pool surrounding the larger swimming pools. The staff is most accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure that your every desire is fulfilled. Our housekeeper was simply wonderful, checking in to see if the Hangover Girls were in need of ice or whatever! She also gave us pointers for future stays.
I LOVE THIS PLACE and plan to spend my birthday there in 2 weeks! Green Valley, you totally ROCK!
Room Tip: Stay in the East Wing where the mini bar isn't sensored so that if you have your own items that...
