In spite of being listed on Dogfriendly.com and booking through ChoiceHotels.com, absolutely no pets are allowed. We checked out immediately and refund was refused. Manager wouldn't even talk to us. The room looked lovely and the location and amenitites were lovely but when we book that we are bringing a dog we expect to be able to. We will never stay at this chain again due to misrepresentation. The conference center and Elko were a good surprise.

Wow, lots of hate for this place. I booked our July 2010 stay at this Comfort Inn back in August 2009. At that time the reviews here were generally positive. It looks like things have changed. We had no problems checking in. We did arrived late and our request for a 1st floor room could not be granted. This hotel has no elevator, which is amazing in this day and age. I guess if you're in a wheelchair you're screwed? Our room was clean, both the beds and the bathroom. The free breakfast was fine, the food hot and plentiful. Never saw the pool. The free wireless worked fine.

Checked in late afternoon and the front desk said the spa was out of order but would be fixed first thing the next day. Room was clean, not many available outlets. No sink, etc. in the bathroom, instead is part of the main room and has poor lighting for the mirror. Wi-fi was good, strong signal. Next morning at breakfast the waffle iron and juice machine were out of order, no other hot breakfast items (no eggs, no biscuits/gravy). Came back in the afternoon for our second night and guess what - the spa is still out of order and the front desk has no clue about the status to get it fixed. If you're considering staying, may want to check first on what is out of order. Staff seems to think management is too tight to take good care.

Recently stayed overnight on April 28, 2010 at this Comfort Inn on a trip to Oregon. First it is an older Comfort Inn and need of a major upgrade. As we were walking to the room my wife pointed out to me that the hallway carpeting was old and in very bad condition. The room was small and very basic, old TV and older bathroom. The indoor pool area was not very clean, needs a major renovation and along the spa edge there were ants.
Certainly way below the standards of newer Comfort Inns we have stayed at. Maybe okay if you arrived late and need to get a fewer hours of sleep but not if you are going to spend anytime in the room or city. Also there is no elevator to reach the upper floor.
On the positive side staff was friendly and the high speed internet was good.
Would not stay here again, on the trip back stayed at the Red Lion much better.
