The first thing we noticed is that there was some obvious thought put into the room...magnetic strips on the curtains to keep them shut and a little ledge to keep them from blowing in the A/C's breeze, generous wooden stand for luggage, good lighting, a bathroom that doesn't turn on a noisy fan when you only need a light. The place smells nicer than most hotels we've been in on this trip.
On the down side, the blanket had hand-sized holes in it, along with some sort of white stain (seemed to be paint), the bed spread had a coffee-cup size hole in it, the toilet seat is old with chips in the paint on the seat, the bathtub/shower is old and the drain didn't work well (you're standing in a couple of inches of water at the end of your shower). AND as I'm writing this, we found that you have to unplug the 'fridge to use the hair dryer because the wire on the hair dryer isn't long enough to reach over the sink to the open receptacle and the plug configurations for both of those appliances are mutually exclusive (they BOTH have to use the bottom receptacle). The coffee maker is as old as the rest of the room, and looks it, but it made decent coffee...the hair dryer DOES work.
There's also NO included breakfast, but there are several fast-food places visible from the hotel.
Of some importance to those looking to surf while they stay, the Wi-Fi is highly intermittent...we were kicked off several times while trying to research and book our next hotels during our overnight stay.
It sounds worse than it really is...we got a good night's sleep, and a good Priceline price, at the Oak Tree Inn, and there's something to be said for that. If you're not too choosy, you could do worse.
