We did not have a reservation but got a very nice room late at night. The desk is very accomadating I got a toothbrush and toothpaste because I had forgotton mine They also made a copy of a paper I needed. The rooms are very clean There is a laundry room if you need it and free breakfast. It was very nice.

I stayed at this hotel 5 months ago and was satisfied, but this time it was a significantly worse experience. On the positive side, it is a cheap, pet-friendly hotel and the rooms are clean. The front-desk staff was pleasant.

On the negative side, they currently seem to cater to groups of construction workers (I also question how many of them are crammed into some of the rooms.)

After driving for 13 hours, I was really desperate for a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, at 4:45am the next morning a steady stream of doors in the hallway started opening and slamming shut along with loud conversations, laughter, and heavy work boots stomping up and down the stairs next to our room. Those noises persisted off-and-on for the next 1.5 hours. In retrospect, I suppose I should have anticipated this when I was told at check-in that breakfast was available from 5-9am.

I plan to find another hotel the next time I pass through Elko, NV.

Exterior: Sad,even without the roadworks which made it really sad.
Reception: Adequate, changed us to a ground floor room,which was nice, the action not the room.
Ease of Access: No luggage cart, but the rooms proximity to the lobby helped.
Room. We remember the 1990s in Florida, small rooms with barely adequate features and patches of mismatched paint - its all there at the Super 8 Elko!
Breakfast: OK if you liked cakes!. Juice machine not working, advised by staff to go next door if we needed any as they wouldn't mind. Cereal and out to somewhere more welcoming.
Tip OK for a night, at the price, if you exclude the don't care staff. We wouldn't use it again
Mentions; Desperately in need of refurbishment and some serious staff training. If the machine is broken YOU go next door with a jug or two and make sure your guests get what they paid for. (They pay your wages)..

We were visiting for the balloon race and found the rooms clean and acceptable. The staff was very helpful. They even had plenty of parking to accommodate our trailer.
