I try to stay at Hilton Garden Inns when I travel. I like the free wifi, free water bottles, breakfast, etc. This hotel was a little sub=par compared to the dozen or so HGIs I've stayed in before. The staff was okay, but not as perky as in other hotels. The breakfast was fine, the waitress was okay, but not real friendly. Our room was facing a hill behind the hotel so there was no light and no view. The first room we were given had just been painted and we had to move to get away from the off-gassing of the paint. The second room was a bit run down and next to stairs that lots of people wearing boots seemed to use all day and night.

I stay at HGI as often as possible in my business travels and for our vacation we stayed here in Elko. The hotel was excellent (probably better than most HGI), the service was outstanding and the restaurant was far better than expected. The internet connection was great to boot!
We would highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Elko.

Stayed here using Hilton Points and was very happy overall. Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel had guest laundry and dinner in the grill was very nice and reasonably priced. Room was very comfortable and the whole experience was very nice.

I appreciate the 2:00 check in as we were a bit early arriving into town and very tired. We had requested a quiet part of the hotel and that is what they gave us. The room was in the back of the building away from elevators and other guests. It was clean and had all of the ingredients for a restful sleep. We ate dinner at the hotel. The entree was cold and I would recommend eating somewhere else, but in Elko, you don't have much choice. Maybe having a simple hamburger and fries or sandwich would have been better.
