Jane, the manager made our reservation while we were travelling to Carson City. She wasn't there when we arrived but Steve, the front desk clerk gave us a discount because the room wasn't the one she'd told us about. He was polite & courteous. I told him I'd call Jane in the morning. Got to our room and Jane called us.... I started to speak but she cut me off denying everything she'd told us earlier, told us if we weren't happy to move next door to the Hampton! Every time I tried to speak, she'd cut me off vehemently denying everything she'd told us earlier, and kept telling us to move out if we weren't happy. We d driven 500 miles that day, and were too tired to move out, but at 65 years of age, I certainly didn't expect to have a "manager" chew me up one side and down the other. The rest of the way home, we avoided HIEs and stayed at Country Inns or Best Westerns. Can't believe this woman is actually the manager in such a well known chain, and deals with her customers like that. Perhaps the actual owner of this hotel should send Jane Richmond to MANNERS SCHOOL and learn how to deal with the public without ranting! Shame on your behavior!
