“Nice enough stop on Nebraska Highway 2”

There aren't that many motels along Highway 2 and this looked the best of the lot. I didn't like having the sink in the room instead of in the bathroom. The room was standard US motel, with air conditioner under the window, enough drawer space and water pressure. I never figured out the satellite TV. I heard that 100 trains per day pass along parallel to the highway. I slept through the train noise. If the noise will bother you, don't spend the night along Highway 2.

Brahmer's Steakhouse and Saloon next door served a good meal in an overly bright restaurant.

There is train noise, but if you have been driving all day it won't make much difference in how well you sleep.

“As American as Apple Pie!”

Loved staying here. The room was clean and affordble includes breakfast.Very friendly staff!

My husband and I have traveled through the Nebaska Sand Hills on Route 2 from Colorado (hate Interstates) and have stayed here many times on our to Iowa wher his family lives. The people are friendly and helpful, the rooms spotless and comfortable, and the train somehow doesn't bother us. I guess I like the sound of trains-kind of romantic- but do bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. They aren't that loud! We always manage to get the same room looking west at the Sandhills at sunset. Highly recommend this place!

“Train Noise”

This hotel is located 75yds from a busy coal train track. Trains pass at least every 30 minutes, sometimes more often. If you stay here, remember your ear plugs. Impossible to get a good nights sleep!
