“Jay, the owner, is a crook”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

Jay promised to refund a part of the pet fee due to my TERRIBLE experience at the hotel with kay and Ray, the "managers" and false advertising on his part about the pet fees. Still no response from him. The room was filthy dirty, food all over the breakfast counters, rude rude rude staff. I agree with the other reviews completely: if you have ANY other options, drive as fast as you can AWAY from this place.

Room Tip: If you want a good experience, go to another hotel.

“Lousy service, nasty hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

If you have even one other option, go somewhere else! Dirty, smelly, even the sheets weren't clean. If I hadn't been in the middle of NOWHERE I would have walked out. The manager was rude and mean. The owners must not care for anything but the bottom line profit. This property should be shut down.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel.

“What a dump with old trucker smell.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2011 via mobile

I can't believe I paid $80 for such a nasty, dirty room that smelled like an old dirty trucker. There was old food on the floor under the bed and "body hair" all over the floor of the bathroom. I pulled the comforters off as I'm sure they don't get washed because I didn't want my kids touching them. This revealed stained mattresses and box springs that even my 4 year old child thought was gross. My husband is a farmer and rancher, in dirty things all the time and HE wouldn't even walk on the carpet without shoes. My daughter found bugs in the corner, dead and alive. This place use to be a Comfort but its terrible now and has still maintained high prices. Oh, and the pool. Our kids begged us to swim and against better judgement we agreed. There were 4 old extension cords hanging plugged together on the wall to run the homemade fan in the window for exhaust. Not to code I'm sure. I also couldn't smell chlorine in the pool so I'm sure my kids will have an illness from the un-treated water. To sum it up? Awful. Not worth $20 much less $80.

“Groups and Teams...STAY AWAY!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2011

We stayed at this hotel with my daughter's softball team, and several other teams as there was a tournament nearby. DO NOT STAY HERE! From the beginning this hotel offered horrible customer service!!! Our team mom was told they couldn't hold our rooms without a credit card (totally normal) and we needed to call right away. Of course, we all tried to call that day and EVERY parent (12 families) talked to the owner who was rude and made it clear she was NOT happy with us or any of the other teams staying there. We tried to make the best of it as all other hotels in the area were booked, but when we arrived it went downhill from there. She had lost reservations, several families were put in rooms with one bed when we specifically booked double bed rooms (and were told they were available), one family even entered their room and realized someone had already slept in the bed!!! (They were given sheets and made to change the bed themselves) It was beyond ridiculous! I could go on and on about the numerous times we were glared at, barked at and ignored but I won't waste your time. If you are scheduling a group event...DO NOT STAY HERE! It was made more than clear that our business (and the other teams as well) was not wanted.

“Horrible service and the manager, Kay, was very rude and unorganized!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2011

We had a softball team with 14 rooms in our block and we had lots of problems with trying to get confirmations on our rooms prior to our stay. The manager, Kay, was very rude to all of our parents the minute we pulled on their property -- she even came running out to the parking lot yelling at our parents telling them they can't check in until 4 pm -- which we understood, but to yell at them in the parking lot was uncalled for. Then as we were checking in, we had lots of problems as well. They had someone else already staying in one of the rooms she gave to a family. One family was downsized from a double-queen to a single king - then we had some families that had to go to smoking rooms after we specifically reserved non-smoking rooms! She also had some other family we never heard of reserved under our block and wanted to charge us for their room, but they weren't even in our party. Then to top it all off - Kay, the manager, thought the kids were too noisy in the pool area and came to crab them out until she saw all of the parents there watching the kids. I do admit, the pool area is a noisy place, but the room itself has a horrible echo problem. So to penalize the kids, she closed the pool early the next night so our girls who had been playing in 98 degree weather couldn't even get into the pool after their games. The suite rooms are not worth the extra money. The carpet in this hotel was dirty and smelly and needed a good carpet cleaning. The breakfast area wasn't kept full -- i have been to many other hotels with continental breakfast and they offered a lot more food. I would recommend you to find another hotel to stay.
