We had a softball team with 14 rooms in our block and we had lots of problems with trying to get confirmations on our rooms prior to our stay. The manager, Kay, was very rude to all of our parents the minute we pulled on their property -- she even came running out to the parking lot yelling at our parents telling them they can't check in until 4 pm -- which we understood, but to yell at them in the parking lot was uncalled for. Then as we were checking in, we had lots of problems as well. They had someone else already staying in one of the rooms she gave to a family. One family was downsized from a double-queen to a single king - then we had some families that had to go to smoking rooms after we specifically reserved non-smoking rooms! She also had some other family we never heard of reserved under our block and wanted to charge us for their room, but they weren't even in our party. Then to top it all off - Kay, the manager, thought the kids were too noisy in the pool area and came to crab them out until she saw all of the parents there watching the kids. I do admit, the pool area is a noisy place, but the room itself has a horrible echo problem. So to penalize the kids, she closed the pool early the next night so our girls who had been playing in 98 degree weather couldn't even get into the pool after their games. The suite rooms are not worth the extra money. The carpet in this hotel was dirty and smelly and needed a good carpet cleaning. The breakfast area wasn't kept full -- i have been to many other hotels with continental breakfast and they offered a lot more food. I would recommend you to find another hotel to stay.
