Check-in was quick - probably because I had reserved in advance. First room we were given (119?) had a terrible smell, so we walked right out and requested a different room. The front desk person immediately made up a key for 105 and asked us to check that one out. It still smelled, but not as bad as the first room. A quick trip to Pamida across the road for air spray and it was a little more tolerable. One of the smallest rooms I've stayed in. Note - 2 women who were checking in when I complained about the 1st room overheard my complaint and invited me in to their room as they were in the hallway when we were taking out things out of the first room. No smell, so maybe just in a few rooms?

I stayed here on my way to a vacation in Colorado. I found it to be very clean and comfortable. There are no frills like lots of shampoos, shower caps and hand lotions, etc. but you aren't paying for them either. The bed was excellent....bathroom very clean. I got a very good night's sleep.
They put me on the second floor which made me feel a little safer as a solo female traveler.
I didn't stop at the breakfast room so cannot comment on it.
I am heading back to Colorado in August and will happily book a room there again.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Super 8. We checked in late at night during a rainstorm, so we were rather desperate to get off I-80. The front desk clerk would not give us a discount even though my husband is an AFT union member. Others checking in around us were getting discounted prices. We paid $90 to stay in a very basic room with a mattress so bad (mushy) we didn't sleep all night. When I complained to the desk clerk in the morning, he was indifferent. He simply said there was nothing he could do about it. We were also not told about the continental breakfast -- found out about it on TripAdvisor, after we returned home. We feel we were gouged by the price, and we were disappointed in leaving in the morning feeling we hadn't gotten any rest. The desk clerk should have given us a partial reimbursement on the room. This room was overpriced by about $40!

Had a baseball team traveling to Ogallala for a tournament and needed a block of hotel rooms for a night. Had quoted us a 10% discount on rooms for a block of 12 rooms. All of a sudden he calls and says they are booked due to some wedding, so in essence what happened is he figured out he could get the extra 10% from someone else so gave our rooms up. Hope the extra $100 was worth it, as I won't be staying at a Super 8 in Ogallala.....ever!
