The Norfolk Lodge is a jewel in Northeast Nebraska. Spacious, comfortable, clean and friendly staff.

After staying at a not great hotel last night, we were so pleased to arrive here! Friendly staff and the place smelled clear with out that chemical smell you often experience in big hotels. Fireplace in the lobby, warm and welcoming and cookies and free coffee in the evening. The room is big - probably bigger than we need - with comfortable beds and everything is clean. There's a bar sink, fridge and microwave. The walkout second entrance made it easy for us to load and unload the car. After being here for about an hour, my husband decided that this would be a good place for his company's annual meetings. The rate seems excellent for this quality - and breakfast is included! Oh, and the pool and hot tub area is just about out of a resort! Just beautiful and the pool is huge! Lovely windows that look out of the landscape. Since my husband is here on business, we had time to relax and my kids enjoyed the on-site mini-golf course. For $5 you can mini-golf as much as you wish. Hotel location is great for us, but it is on the outskirts of town so keep that in mind when you make your reservation.

We stayed at the Lodge for 5 days in late October. This was the second stay in about a year and a half. The place is beautiful, situated on a nice piece of land below the foothills. You walk through the front doors and think that you could be in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming or some other resort if the mountains. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We spent more than a couple of afternoons and evenings having cocktails and dinner in the bar. They serve the same food as in the restaurant and it was mostly very good. This allows for a much more relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful but it was a lot more fun on the weekend to catch some volleyball or catch a game on one of the bigscreens.
One of my favorite aspects of the Lodge is the indoor pool and spa. Sure it can get noisey but it was our experience that the management of the Lodge came down to the pool once quiet time hit to squelch the noise. A great stay and we'd surely stay again on our next trip.

I usually stay at chains that I trust especially in small towns but an associate suggested this place and I am glad he did. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were nice and large. It looks like there are several concerts throughout the summer and this would be a great weekend destination. During the week the bar attached to the hotel was buzzing with guests and sand volleyball players. Will definitely stay again!!
