We stayed @ Burchell's White Hill Farmhouse Inn on a trip to see Pioneer Village and the Archway @ Kearney...The rooms were very clean and they had anything and everything you would need (in case you forgot to bring it). They have a restaurant in another building and everything was made fresh from scratch. Breakfast @ the BIG house was very good.. Lots of fresh fruit to go w/ our french toast..Overall.......we enjoyed our stay......

Burchell's is just the right mix of old and new. Rooms are comfortable sized with modern individually controlled Heat/AC. Wireless Internet sometimes dropped out but it was nice to have it. Breakfasts were good with lots of fresh fruit and eggs or french toast. There is a restaurant in another building on the property and the food there was also excellent especially the smoked chicken. Deserts were great and a really good local wine made it an excellent evening. Very warm hospitality makes this an excellent chocie

My wife and I flew to Nebraska specifically to witness the Spring Sandhill Crane migration and spent two cozy nights at Burchell's White Hill Farmhouse Inn. The Inn is very close to the Kearney Rowe Sanctuary blinds - and the surrounding farm land is a great place to see hawks, kestrels, merlins, meadowlarks, etc. The Inn is newly renovated and we had a cozy, comfortable, well appointed room on the first floor. Bed offered a perfect sleep! Breakfast was yummy and hearty - and Linda and Bob were so accommodating when it came to meals and our crazy early/late crane watching schedules. The dinner menu at the on-site restaurant was delicious and affordable. We ate at the Inn both nights and Bob's smoked chicken family-style dinner was is a must have - and the the smoked ribs with sides of cheesey-potatoes and broccoli-slaw was also killer good. The Inn offeres a cozy common area with WIFI, leather shaker chairs, books - a quiet place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine (restaurant has a liquor license and features Nebraska wines among others). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - and Linda has a wealth of information about the area's history and attractions. We would return in a heartbeat!

We stopped at Burchell's for a night of rest and found the place to be everything we could want in a B&B. The host and hostess are wonderfully friendly as was the farm cat, Boots who was on hand to be petted every time we stepped outside. The room was warm on a COLD winter night (I especially appreciated the heated tile floor in the bathroom). Not only are the rooms spacious (and clean) but the downstairs common areas are comfortable. The on-site restaurant serves family-style farm meals in a clean, spacious facility next to the house.

For those travelling I-80 through Nebraska who want a quiet place to stop for a rest, this is the place. I also understand that it hosts bird-watchers during crane migration.
