I have stayed at many B & B's over the years but this was the BEST! Our group used three of the rooms and everyone loved their stay. All of the rooms are very, very spacious and you really feel like you have your own apartment. Larry and Ruth have left absolutely nothing out when it comes to service, accomodations, breakfast and hospitality. I think they must have been Southern in their previous lifetimes. The breakfast was to die for! Each day we had a large serving of fruit, followed by a heart shaped muffin of a different flavor, and then a special entree. WONDERFUL! Each suite had its own television, DVD and CD system. The inn has a LARGE collection of DVD's and all of the new releases. There were all kinds of drinks available whenever you wanted to grab one from the refrigerator. My son-in-law ate his weight in popcorn every night from the popcorn machine. There was always cake, cookies and candies available. In the common area outside our rooms there was always hot water and the makings for coffee or tea available. Larry must have known that we would want all of the news about the NCAA gymnastics meet each morning because we had both the Omaha and Lincoln papers for each room waiting outside our doors. Incredible inn and proprietors!!

We usually try B & B's when traveling from Chicago to Colorado, and Lincoln is a perfect midpoint. The innkeepers are very friendly and will accomodate your every request if possible. The inn is beautiful as soon as you drive up. Every room that I was able to view is beautiful from the least to the most expensive. This is a place for romance and relaxation. The food was all very good. Homemade cookies and cake in the evening for snacking at your liesure. Coffee available by 7am and breakfast was delicious - we had a sausage quiche and delicious fresh pineapple, strawberries, cateloupe. I would recommend spending the extra money for a room with a double jacuzzi - so nice. We stayed in both the Atwood Suite and the Cottage House. The Atwood Suite is very spacious with a bedroom, a family room with dining area, and a huge bathroom with double jacuzzi and dressing/makeup area. Beautiful windows allow the sunshine in everywhere. WIreless internet and wired internet were very convenient. This suite has a nice little desk area and a mini refridge. There is also a beautiful natural fireplace. The Cottage House is beautifully newly decorated. It has a deep double jacuzzi, full kitchen with dining area, gas fireplace, seperate bedroom. It did not have wireless internet. Both rooms had wonderful surround sound stereo for enjoying music for a romantic atmosphere. We will return to the Atwood anytime we can.

This would have to rank in the top 3 B&Bs we've ever stayed, and we've stayed at a lot. The house itself is beautiful, and fascinating to explore and to learn the history. Our suite was gorgeous and extremely spacious and comfortable. But the hosts - Ruth and Larry, are something else. They are welcoming, friendly and helpful. They provide unlimited snacks and water, have a great supply of DVDs to watch. Wireless internet etc. Everything you need. Also breakfast was fantastic - 3 courses of great home cooking.

The Atwood Bed and Breakfast is the best place we ever stay at.
There home is beautiful. The Atwood suite was lovely, breakfast was great eating on fine china and drinking from crystal glasses. They have lots of snack-cakes, popcorn, chips, candy, and juice to enjoy 24/7. If you forgot to pack anything, they have tons of amenities for you to use and enjoy. We had fresh roses in our room with a box of candy. Larry and Ruth take such pride in their bed and breakfast and it shows. They make you fill very comfortable and relax in their home. They are down to earth, nice kind people. They have set the bar high for bed and breakfasts.
If we ever travel back to Lincoln, we will stay there again.
We have stayed at 6 bed and breakfasts and they exceed our expectations, we didn't want to leave! Keep up the great work Larry & Ruth!
