“Hotel showing some age”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Stayed at the Cornhusker hotel 1 night for a sporting event and was generally pleased with the hotel.

The good: The location is great to experience the college scene--the bars and restaurants of Lincoln are within easy walking distance. The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

The bad: The hotel is showing some age and that dating shows in everything from the wallpaper to the bedspreads to the carpets. The bathroom does not have a fan and the moisture from years of showers had brought some rust to the edges of the ceiling vent.

Value: When you walk in, you get the feeling that you're in a $200 per night hotel, but I was glad to be paying half of that. However, that rate includes nothing for breakfast and does not include parking ($1 per hour to a max of $9). There is a restaurant on site and a Starbucks in the lobby with a small assortment of muffins and bagels.

In the end, I would stay here again for a Nebraska sporting event because of its close proximity to bars and restaurants and because of the ok value.

“Nice stay”

We stayed here for a football this fall, and didn't really spend anytime at the hotel. Regardless, our stay was pleasant but expensive due to the jacked up rates for the game.

The one thing I can say is that I have never, ever met more sincere and warm people than in Nebraska and specifically in Lincoln. It was almost eerie how nice they were to us, the opposing team. What a pleasant surprise.

“SMILING FACES :)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I am here on business and been staying at the Cornhusker Marriott for a few weeks now.
I always get a friendly HELLO! from a great Front Desk crew, if I can remember them all!!! Matt, Tinel, Saquasha, Tina, Sheila, oh, and Abby and of course, Ms. Trudy who answers the phone and helps me with all kinds of questions! :), it's nice to here them greet me by my name. The Valet Crew has been great as well, Kyle, Don, Andrew and Freddy too!

I just really appreciate their positive attitudes and I just want the mananagement to know, that they are all jewels to the company, due to the fact they are sooo "in tune" and Knowledgable to this town!! That is so great for a TEXAN who has ZERO CLUE, but LEARNING soo much all the time about not only fun things to do here in Lincoln, but, in the neat surrounding towns, York, Wilbur, Papillion!!

So, THANK Ya'll for making my "home away from home" comfortable and cozy! :)

Room Tip: The even numbered rooms face town & the odd numbers face the Husker stadium area!

Only a 1 night stay in Lincoln, priced hotels and the Cornhusker offered the most for our money. Nice and clean - friendly staff. Did not use pool but did use exercise room - was adequate.
Had a meal in the restrauant - only 1 star - management could not provide a nutrition breakdown on any of the menu items.
Bar area was inviting and reasonably priced.
Yes, we would stay there again!

“We stay here every year.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

We're native Nebraskans who live in SD but we come back every summer and always stay at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel. We love the valet service as we're older, the breakfast is great, the rooms are very comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. We have never had a bad experience at this hotel.

Room Tip: I love the view of the capitol and the sower on top. Ask for that view.
