Stayed at the Cornhusker hotel 1 night for a sporting event and was generally pleased with the hotel.
The good: The location is great to experience the college scene--the bars and restaurants of Lincoln are within easy walking distance. The room was clean and the staff was friendly.
The bad: The hotel is showing some age and that dating shows in everything from the wallpaper to the bedspreads to the carpets. The bathroom does not have a fan and the moisture from years of showers had brought some rust to the edges of the ceiling vent.
Value: When you walk in, you get the feeling that you're in a $200 per night hotel, but I was glad to be paying half of that. However, that rate includes nothing for breakfast and does not include parking ($1 per hour to a max of $9). There is a restaurant on site and a Starbucks in the lobby with a small assortment of muffins and bagels.
In the end, I would stay here again for a Nebraska sporting event because of its close proximity to bars and restaurants and because of the ok value.
