When we booked, this was the only hotel in town that still had a room so we were not able to choose smoking or non. The room gave a whole new meaning to funky smelling, above and beyond stale smoke. The ceiling had smoke colored cobwebs hanging from it, the sheets and blankets were holely, etc.

While stringing the ethernet cable (took 3 cables before 1 worked-the rooms are not equipped with wifi, another detail that is not clear on the website), we pulled out the dresser and there was a rubber glove and a checkout receipt from 2009 behind it! That may well have been the last time the room was booked for all we know.

We were moved to a non-smoking room the next night and that room had non-working deadbolts so we were left to drive around town with our suitcases and laptop so that they wouldn't be stolen.

this hotel is horrible! The staff and managers are horrible! the room nest to ours was loud and the next morning they kicked us out without bothering to come up and check on where the noise was coming from. never experienced anything like that in all my years of travel!!!! do not stay at this hotel its dirty and staff is lazy. STAY AT THE VICTORIAN INN DOWN THE STEET THEY WERE VERY AWESOME!!!!

Our stay was cut short by the poor quality of this hotel. The grounds are very unkept. While there was newer furniture and bedding, the rest of our room was in poor condition. The walls looked as if there were water leaks, the carpet very worn and the fixutres appeared to be very outdated. The ventilation was also very poor as the bathroom exhaust fan did not work and it was so humid in the room, that our sheets and clothes felt and smelled damp from our visit. The hallways were very dated, the hot tub was broken and the pool was cold and extremely cloudy. We had planned to stay 4 nights but were not happy with the price versus the quality of the room so we checked out the next day. I would not recommend this to other travelers.

My mom, my 14 year old brother, and I (12) went to the Adams County Fair to enjoy the Luke Bryan and Eric Church concerts. But our stay at the hotel was not a vacation. In a guide it said the hotel gave out muffins and coffee for breakfast, but when we got down there all they had was 1 muffin left from the day before, some expired granola bars, and weak coffee. It said they gave out cookies from 7-9 PM but they didn't have any so we asked the guy at the front about the cookies and he said they don't do that anymore. Maybe they should take that out of the pamphlet! And to top it all of, when we got home from the Eric Church concert we tried to go to sleep but there was a party going on in the hallway. We just let it go on until my mom went to complain to the guy at the front desk at midnight but he didn't do anything about it so she complained again he talked to them but they still kept partying. So she called the cops on them at about 3:00 and they all scatered. But when we went to go get ice out of the machines we saw a guy on the floor and we saw many beer cans and bottles. My mom went to go talk to the dude at the front desk (she saw 1 muffin) about the night(morning) before. That guy was the dumbest hotel guy I had ever seen. Now we know why the place has hardly any buisness. Next time we go to Hastings we are staying at the Holiday Inn!!!!!!! POOOR SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!
