As a business traveler, you learn which hotels to stay clear of, and which ones offer a consistent value over the years.
This hotel is by no means an Embassy Suites or a Marriot. If that's what you are looking for, continue East on I-80 until you get to Lincoln. But for the price, I think this is the best value in Grand Island.
My favorite hotels are the ones that still have a restaurant and or lounge in the main building. This has both with the Garden Cafe and Tiki Lounge. Great food, and the bar is something out of the early eighties which ads a certain coolness factor.
The rooms are large, and the hotel is in the process of renovating them. Flat screen TV's and nicer furniture greeted me the last time I was here. The lobby is also in the process of getting a face-lift.
There's an indoor pool, business center, and work-out room. I've always felt safe at this hotel, and I've never had any experience where the rooms weren't perfectly clean.
