I chose this hotel because it had all the amenities; pool, hot tub, restaurant and lounge. On top of all this, the beds were outstanding! So, what if the place isn't brand new? It scores huge on character and coolness. It's kept up very well, its very clean and the food was great. I loved the atmosphere of the entire property.

We were in town for family wedding. So, our goal for accommodation was about price & sleep, not hanging out a the hotel, and this place pretty much served it's purpose. Although, I might opt to stay elsewhere next time. Beds are very comfortable. Mattresses and linens seem new. Linens and towels clean. Bathroom clean but did see a little bit of mildew in shower grout, and I do mean a very little. Because the pool/banquet area are under some kind of permanent tent, the rooms facing that area are in a constant state of what I call "spaceship" lighting. The good thing about that is that it was so easy to sleep in. The bad thing about it was that we easily lost a sense of time in the room and the rooms always smelled like chlorine because the air conditioners were mounted on the pool side. It's almost as the pool area used to be outdoors and, then someone decided to enclose it. The Jacuzzi is all stainless steel and temp' couldn't have been more than 95 degrees. Felt like bath water for babies. Pool was WAY overdue for resurfacing and the water in both looked a bit too cloudy. Front desk staff ok, not overly friendly but not rude. Housekeeping staff seemed very nice but reeked of cigarette smoke. Decor seems to have multiple personalities: part mountain cabin, party econo' inn, part I don't know what. I think I heard someone say Clarion just bought i. Food okay, breakfast not that great. Go to Village Inn Restaurant next door.

My husband, daughter, son-in law, 2 year old twins and I stayed here for 1 night, in a poolside double queen room (with mini fridge and microwave). This is an older hotel that has been spruced up but could still use a little more work. The lobby and restaurant decor was nice. The room was clean; the bed and pillows very comfortable; air conditioning and room lighting was fine; and the shower was great (plenty of water pressure and hot water!). On the other hand, some of the door locks/chains were inoperable; the bathroom was fairly small without much of a vent fan; and noise from the pool could be an issue to some. The pool area was nice; a large pool; comfortable chairs; jacuzzi (not the greatest); and a few pieces of exercise equipment. The continental breakfast consisted of: cereal, toast, bagels, hash browns, scrambled eggs, apples, oranges, coffee, tea, orange juice, and (I think there was) milk. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly enough. I would probably stay here again (but would check out the hotel next door that was $20.00-$30.00 cheaper, first).

This is a hotel that is ok for the budget minded traveler. It host the rotary club luncheons and retirement parties and weddings at a reasonable cost. There are weekly rates for manual workers for wich it is also suitable. Business travelers that pay their own hotels will find the stay suitable also. Families just wanting a cheap night will find it acceptable.

However for the business traveler that is use to higher end amenities this hotel will be a disappoint, especially in terms of the small bathrooms and showers. For Families that are traveling with children that want to spend down time at the pool then I recommend the Holiday Inn with the children and teen pool play area down the street.

The hotel is updating and has a fun log cabin motif. There is a restaurant in hotel and the cook Alfred is wonderful as are the waitress. Premier guest are provide 2 coupons a week for a free drink or appetizer.
