The Kintla is one of two true ski-in/ski-out properties at the base of Big Mountain. It's small, quiet, and well appointed. We've stayed there three times now, and each time has been a treat.
the views across the valley are spectacular, but we did find that side of the building to be a bit noisier than the mountain side. Also, if you're on the mountain side, you can quickly see what's happening on Chair #3.
The Kintla is especially convenient for the snowboard terrain park, and for the beginner runs served by Chair #3. It takes just a little bit of work to get to/from the rest of the mountain, but it's not bad.
There's a lot going on in the village, and there will be more properties available soon, I'm sure. But the Kintla is a great place to stay.
