Just out to Yellowstone January 2005. There was a group of 9 of us that rented the cabin. We were informed there was room enough to sleep 20+ (which there is plenty of room to sleep), a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, plenty of parking, complamentary breakfast, and it would be serviced daily by the hotel staff.
The location is great. There is plenty of parking. We did have some very tall men (6'2"+) in the group and it was difficult for them to walk in the first floor. The celings were QUITE low. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor with 2 double beds. A TV area with 2 sofas and a love seat and a chair (looks like my college dorm room stuff). The TV no longer had a remote as the owner did not want to keep replacing it after being stolen often. We were told that afternoon when we checked in that there was NO breakfast waiting for us in the morning. We would have to get that on our own. Whomever we spoke with (2 different times) missinformed us. The upstairs had at least 6 beds, again the taller man had to sleep with their feet hanging off. Though, the upstairs had a vaulted ceiling with no problem with headroom. I was the first to try to take a shower. My first attempt was in the downstairs restroom. Luckilly our group had a carpenter amoungst us because he had to fix the hot water faucet in the shower...it was so stripped we couldn't even turn it on! I ventured upstairs as he was trying to fix that one and took my shower up there. As I got out of the shower and walked across the floor with my damp feet, the tiles from the floor stuck to my feet! We did have to call the first night we were there to ask why we hadn't received new towels and bed service, nobody could really give us a good answer. We also had to go to the front desk to ask for some additional TP as there were only 2 rolls in the place when we got there. After 24 hours in the cars...you catch my drift! We finally found out that the administration failed to mention the the houskeeping staff that anybody was staying in the cabin. After they found out we were there, the service was fine.
The place is quite rustic. It was pretty cheep and we knew not to expect much. The owner needs to put a little TLC into the place and it wouldn't be so bad. If you are looking for a place to sleep for a lot of people...this may be your place.
