“The Best Place to stay in West Yellowstone!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

So this is a review that is a long time coming. My wife and I have stayed here on many occasions. From a weekend couple getaway to taking the family. Either way the Hibernation Station is the best place to stay in West Yellowstone. If you have never been to West Yellowstone allow me to give you some tips as we go 2 to 3 times a year. First off don’t buy into that “we are close to everything” quote. It’s a very small town, everything is close to everything. I have been visiting West Yellowstone my entire life and have stayed at all the major chains, to the small mom and pop places, RV parks to the cabins. We now will not stay any ware else but Hibernation Station. It is like having your own cabin in West Yellowstone. They have a nice hot tub if you want to relax after a day in the park. But most of all you will enjoy the cabin after your day of adventure. It so much nicer than going back to just plain walls. We now only rent the family condo units. Not only does it make it like home but some of them have full kitchens. It’s now a family tradition that My wife and daughter bake cookies on our first night of the trip. Try to do that in a hotel room. They have charcoal barbeque's available through the office. and when you check out i bet you say WOW that guy on trip advisor was right. You may get to rent the unit we rent, but if you ask my kids. Its our cabin. not yours, not Hibernation Stations. It’s ours. So if you want the best experience in West Yellowstone take my advice and save those big chain hotel points you have earned and use them for another destination and Stay at Hibernation Station. One other key point about West Yellowstone. The food is way overpriced they add a resort tax to everything. My wife and I got 2 Patty melts at a place that was nothing special and paid $52 for 2 Patty melts with fries and 2 cokes. I am not a cheap skate but that is robbery. My point is bring your own food and cook it in the full kitchen that some of the family condos have at the Hibernation Station. And trust me on this after a long day of adventure in the park. Nothing looks better than one of those huge log beds with the down comforter to rest you for the next day of doing it all over again. If you are going to the park I have done some other reviews on places in the park that may help as well. Have fun and see you in Yellowstone.

Room Tip: Their web site is the best way to choose a room as they have pictures of almost all rooms.

“Really neat woodcarved beds, homey clean cabins, BUT beware....”

Loved the feel of the cabin. Homey and warm! The woodcarving was spectacular. Ask to see available rooms to pick which 'theme' you like. Room, bathroom, kitchenette very clean and up to date with all the amenities needed for our week stay, including a closet and dresser drawers. Staff, very friendly and nice. Location, if you're looking for West Yellowstone, very convenient just outside the West entrance. Also enjoyed the town of West Yellowstone, best shaved ice ever (across from grocery store on side street)! Canyon Street Grille YUM. Quaint town, nice people!
However, not so nice refund policy by Hybernation Station. You must commit and pay upfront for length of stay. If this changes, NO REFUNDS. No matter the reason! BEWARE. (unless they sell out all rooms that night, and thus re-sell your room)(highly unlikely).

Room Tip: They were very open to showing the room before you committed to stay. Ask to see a few rooms, each...

“Amazing Cabins and Vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

Just returned from a snowmobiling vacation in West Yellowstone, MT. Was very fortunate to get to stay at Hibernation Station where their cabin ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Our cabin was very cozy and warm and lots of room. It had all the amenities you could ask for. We would ride during the day and come home to a great cozy warm cabin. Their was plenty of room for our large enclosed snow-machine trailer. The Management couldnt have been nicer and treated us like family. We will absolutely be back.

Room Tip: We were able to park our snowmachines right at the cabin door and ride straight out to the trail net...

“BAD REVIEW ?????”

How can anyone not have a good experience at this place? If you are going to yellowstone i would hope you dont want to remember the end of your day at some plan old hotel room where when you go in and close the door all you see is painted wall's. why whould you not want to go in close the door and keep the vacation going with yellowstone themed place to sleep and keep remembering all the things you seen thru the day. Not just a picture of a buffalo on the wall.

(WARNING TO ALL TOURISTS) !!!! THIS IS THE GREAT OUT DOORS !!! NOT THE CITY!!!

IF YOU WANT GREAT MEMORIES AND NOT JUST ANOTHER HOTEL ROOM.. HIBERNATION STATION IS THE PLACE TO STAY...

Room Tip: the yellowstone series was great for family's
