Michael Lannon, owner of Greybull Motel, Greybull, Wyoming suggested this place to us. My husband and I had stayed at Greybull the day before and we were so happy with the place that we asked Michael to suggest an affordable hotel for us at Yellowstone. A suggestion I would give about Yellowstone is that if u can, stay at the east entrance, because it is a hell lot cheaper, and quieter. It is a family owned lodge, and the owner was friendly and efficient. We had a quick check in.
The common area in front of the rooms have a great view of the mountains. There is a little stream running just in front of that lodge . The room was of moderate size, with a king bed, a dressing table and a chair. the bathroom could use some renovation. The towels were clean..
The owner had talked about a bar just accross the lodge, and apparently it opened only 3-4 times out of the whole year. We were lucky enough to be there on one of those such days!! There were locals doing a great live band and basic drinks. The great part being there was that, all of them were friendly (my husband and i were the only foreign people there, the others were either family or friends). Coming from India, i had only heard of a cowboy, and when i saw one there i got a picture with him!!
